Juliet Rosetti’s steamy Escape Diaries series—perfect for fans of Kristan Higgins and Susan Elizabeth Phillips—continues as Mazie’s on-again, off-again relationship with certified hottie Ben Labeck simmers out of control.

Mazie Maguire doesn’t need some lousy awards panel to tell her what she already knows: Ben Labeck—the chiseled, 6'3" photojournalist and hockey player who drives her wild—is the Sexiest Man Alive. And she especially doesn’t need the rest of the world to know it, too. Watching every last woman in the Milwaukee metro area throw themselves at the man who shares Mazie’s bed is more than any respectable single lady should bear.

So when Ben has the nerve to “forget” to call for a week, Mazie decides to call it off for good. But as she jumps back into the dating game, Mazie catches the attention of some real bad boys: The Skulls. When the motorcycle gang kidnaps Mazie in a case of mistaken identity, she suddenly sees Ben’s behavior in a whole new light. She’d do anything to wake up in Ben’s surprisingly tender arms one more time—so long as the Sexiest Man Alive doesn’t go and get himself killed trying to save her.

Tangled Thing Called Love (Love and Life on the Lam #3) by Juliet Rosetti {Review}

Genre: Chick Lit/Contemporary Romance
Age Group: Adult
Expected Publication Date: April 28th 2014
Publisher: Loveswept/Random House
Pages: 280
Series: Love and Life on the Lam #3
Format: eARC
Source: Netgalley provided by publisher

Mazie’s boyfriend—photojournalist and sex god Ben Labeck—might be trouble on two very strong, very sexy legs, but he’s got no idea what he’s signing up for when he invites himself along to the family farm in Quail Hollow to meet the Maguires. Mazie knows that bringing a guy home is a recipe for disaster, especially when she’s not sure whether their relationship is serious or just seriously steamy. That goes double when she finds herself reluctantly squeezing back into a bikini and sash for the anniversary of a supposedly cursed local beauty pageant. All this is wreaking havoc on Mazie’s love life. Suddenly Ben’s too busy playing gentleman farmer on the Maguire estate to indulge in a more discreet kind of play in Mazie’s bed. And when he’s not tilling the soil, he’s digging up dirt on the Curse of Miss Quail Hollow. Maybe that swimsuit competition isn’t such a bad way to get Ben’s attention back where it belongs—and get him to admit that he’s head-over-heels in love with her.

Crazy For You (Love and Life on the Lam #2) by Juliet Rosetti

Genre: Chick Lit/Contemporary Romance
Age Group: Adult
Publication Date: December 9th 2013
Pages: 275
Series: Love and Life on the Lam #2
Format: Kindle
Source: Purchased from Amazon

In the tradition of Janet Evanovich and Susan Elizabeth Phillips, Juliet Rosetti ups the ante in her laugh-out-loud funny Escape Diaries series, as Mazie Maguire must use any means necessary to keep her main squeeze out of the slammer. Once you escape from prison and ride off into the sunset with the gorgeous guy who helped you nail a killer, you live happily ever after, right? Well, not exactly—not if you’re Mazie Maguire, and the flow chart of your life looks like a pinball machine. Mazie has broken up with her guy, Ben Labeck, she can’t pay her rent, her car is infested with mice, and she’s working at a coffee shop where the dress code is teddies, thongs, and toe-cleavage heels. Now Ben is the chief suspect in a murder investigation, and Mazie’s tapping into her fugitive wiles to keep him out of jail. Strictly as friends, she vows. No kissing, no touching, no romance. But how is Mazie supposed to keep her thoughts platonic when her “buddy” is giving her erotic back rubs, and a make-believe-we’re-newlyweds charade puts her in the mood for a wedding night?

The Escape Diaries by Juliet Rosetti Review + Giveaway

Synopsis:

Introducing the hilarious new heroine, Mazie Maguire, in Juliet Rosetti’s irresistible debut novel that follows the outrageous adventure of a woman on the run.

Wrongly convicted of killing her philandering husband, Mazie Maguire is three years into her life sentence when fate intervenes—in the form of a tornado. Just like that, she’s on the other side of the fence, running through swamps and cornfields, big box stores and suburban subdivisions. Hoping to find out who really murdered her husband, Mazie must stay a few steps ahead of both the law and her mother-in-law, who would like nothing better than to personally administer Mazie the death penalty via lethal snickerdoodle. With the Feds in hot pursuit and the national media hyping her story, Mazie stumbles upon a vast political conspiracy and a man who might just be worth a conjugal visit—if she survives.

My thoughts:

If somehow I ended up on a deserted island (which won't happen because I'm either too broke or too lazy to venture out)  and could only bring 3 things, this book would be one of them, along with deodorant and butt wipes. That is how much I enjoyed it! It had everything I love in a good story. Drama, Suspense, Romance, Action OH MY! The story centers on Mazie Maguire escaping prison after a tornado blows through town. She then goes on the run to try to prove her innocence a la "The Fugitive" which is referenced in the book too! Mazie quickly became my favorite heroine simply because she was determined to prove her innocence no matter what happened to her. We (the readers) are taken on a wild hilarious ride with Mazie as she bullshits her way around starting with faking being attacked when  she ends up nearly naked and busted up on the side of the road. She runs through fields, and Forrest's trying to stay hidden from the manhunt now looking for her. When she ends up finally falling asleep in what she thinks is an empty barn but wakes up to find herself being held captive by a fat ugly farmer all hell breaks loose. He gets the cops involved and decides while waiting on them he will use Mazie for a little fun. She plays it up but soon gets the best of him using a condom and cunning.

She breaks free with that distraction and takes the cops on a wild goose chase through a cow field. She plays hide and seek behind the cows and ends up sneaking into a news van which introduces my favorite character Bonaparte "Ben" Labeck! *shivers* Omg mama like me some Labeck. French Canadian, Ben ends up helping Mazie figure out what happened to put her in prison. I just have to show my extreme love for Ben. When he comes into the story he's mysterious and aloof but as the story progresses he opens up and you find out his motivation for helping Mazie WHICH by the way made my heart go pitter pat!

Mazie and Labeck end up at her mother-in-law's house searching for clues only to to find out her MIL had been expecting Mazie. Now at this part in the story I was amped up on adrenaline because Mazie seems to have found herself in a jam with this loony bitch! trapped with nowhere to go her salvation comes in the form of a feisty little dog she can't get rid of! The humor in this book was unexpected but a wonderful addition to the overall plot that kept me hooked to the last sentence. Not only does Mazie manage to elude the authorities but she develops a public following that seems to be rooting for her. Every step of her journey she gets small breaks from the public that fuels her to keep going with her quest for freedom. When she turns up on the doorstep of an old friend she soon finds out he might not be the friend she always believed him to be. My heart broke for Mazie several times but her strength healed me at the same time. The things that she goes through to find the truth will have you sitting on the edge of your seat anticipating her next move and with every close call I think I blew out an artery in my poor fat clogged heart!

Every chapter brings a new adventure and hilarious mishaps Mazie has to overcome. Besides the fantastic humor of this book the main thing I loved was watching Mazie go from a naive, shy and quiet woman to a fierce, kick ass take no prisoners warrior! Mazie is my ultimate female hero and I am excited for you to read this story! This was Juliet Rosetti's debut as a new author and I can't wait to see more from her!! There wasn't a single thing I disliked about this book. Everything was entertaining and fun, from the chase, to the romance between Labeck and Mazie to the conclusion of the story that leaves you wondering where things stand between these two. Thankfully from what I gather we haven't heard the last from Mazie Maguire! This book is on my tippy top picks for 2012 and I am so in love with this story that I will Gift an Ebook copy  from either Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or Kobo to one lucky winner!!!

About the Author:

I'm thrilled that my first book, The Escape Diaries, is coming out in December. It's sort of a hybrid of mystery and chick lit, a popcorn book--light, fun, and with a happy ending. Despite the Italian name, I'm from a large Irish family, raised on a dairy farm with cats, dogs, chickens, pigs and 4 brothers. I wanted to be a cowboy when I grew up, but somehow wound up as a teacher instead. My first job was in Milwaukee, which provides much of the colorful background for my book. I spent a year teaching in Sydney, Australia, where I taught ESL and--completely unqualified--talked myself into a job coaching cricket.Nowadays I live in Oshkosh with my husband and son and squeeze in writing time between sub teaching jobs. Survival stories have always fascinated me--from Robinson Crusoe to Hatchet. It amazes me how brave and resourceful people can be as they struggle to survive under horrendous conditions. When I wrote my book my heroine possessed no food, money, or clothes and was being hunted by every lawman and gun-toting lunatic in the state, Sort of like the Hunger Games, only with Cheeseheads instead of tributes. Let me know if you read it and like it.
