From New York Times bestseller Katy Regnery comes a new twist on a beloved fairytale.

A fisherman's daughter.
The governor's son.
Two very different worlds.

In this modern retelling of The Little Mermaid, a fisherman's daughter from an Outer Banks island untouched by time, meets the son of North Carolina's governor at a fancy party where she's working.

Laire, who wants so much more from life than her little island can offer, is swept away by wealthy, sophisticated Erik, who is, in turn, entranced by her naiveté and charm. The two spend a whirlwind summer together that ends on the knife-point of heartbreak and forces them to go their separate ways.

Years later, when fate leads them back to one another, they will discover the terrifying depth of the secrets they kept from each other, and learn that shattered hearts can only be healed by a love that willfully refuses to die.

All novels Katy Regnery's ~a modern fairytale~ collection are written as fundraisers. 10% of the e-book sales for in March and April 2017 will be donated to P.E.O. International, a non-profit organization that celebrates the advancement of women, awards scholarships and grants, and provides motivation for women to make their dreams come true.

**Contemporary Romance. Due to profanity, adult themes and very strong sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.**

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Katy Regnery started her writing career by enrolling in a short story class in January 2012. One year later, she signed her first contract and Katy’s first novel was published in September 2013.

Twenty-five books later, Katy claims authorship of the multi-titled, New York Times and USA Today Blueberry Lane Series, which follows the English, Winslow, Rousseau, Story, and Ambler families of Philadelphia; the six-book, bestselling ~a modern fairytale~ series; and several other standalone novels and novellas.

Katy’s first modern fairytale romance, The Vixen and the Vet, was nominated for a RITA® in 2015 and won the 2015 Kindle Book Award for romance. In 2016, Katy signed a print-only agreement with Spencerhill Press. As a result, her Blueberry Lane paperback books will now be distributed to brick and mortar bookstores all over the United States.

Katy lives in the relative wilds of northern Fairfield County, Connecticut, where her writing room looks out at the woods, and her husband, two young children, two dogs, and one Blue Tonkinese kitten create just enough cheerful chaos to remind her that the very best love stories begin at home.

Review Tour *** Hold My Breath ***

We're celebrating the release of HOLD MY BREATH by Ginger Scott! Check out the review, teasers, and giveaway below!

HOLD MY BREATH
NA Contemporary Romance-Stand Alone
Scheduled to release: November 18, 2016

BLURB:
Fractions of seconds can do lots of damage. One decision can ruin lives. A blink can be tragic. And loving a Hollister…can hurt like hell.

I would know.

They say the average person can hold their breath under water for two full minutes when pushed to the extremes. Will Hollister has been holding his for years. The oldest of two elite swimming brothers, Will was always a dominant force in the water. But in life, he preferred to let his younger
brother Evan be the one to shine.

Evan got the girl, and Will…he got to bury all of the secrets. A brother’s burden, the weight of it all nearly left him to drown.

The daughter of two Olympians, my path was set the day my fingertips first touched water. My future was as crystal clear as the lane I dominated in the pool—swim hard, win big, love a Hollister.

My life with Evan burned bright. He gave me arms to come home to, and a smile that fooled the world into believing everything was perfect. But it was Will who pushed me. Will…who really knew me.

And when all of the pieces fell, it was Will who started to pick them up.

In the end, the only thing that matters are those few precious seconds—and what we decide to do while we still have them in our grasp.

Globug's Review

So, did you read that blurb? There's no way for me to sum it better than the author did. Seriously, that is one of the best synopsis ever. I was so ready to dive into this book after watching the incredible summer Olympics this year and also because Ginger Scott always adds something special to her stories that ends up leaving her mark on my heart.

Will and Maddy have spent the last four years trying to overcome the same tragedy. Instead of grieving together they allowed their pain to be the force that kept them apart. Their careers as top competitive swimmers have suffered as well. But most of all Will has struggled with not only loss, but responsibilties that burden his heart and spirit. I was so worried at the start that Will was going to have skeletons that would ruin the potential relationship with Maddy. I should have known better. The author has again created an ultimate book boyfriend. That's not to say Will isn't flawed but his heart and compassion (and gorgeous athletic body) earn him a spot as one of my faves.

Some would consider theirs a forbidden love. But truly it's more of a second chance at love. A chance to choose the right one. The one that makes them the best that they can be not only in a race but in all the ways that matter most. Theirs is a story about love overcoming tragedy. Hold My Breath was another reason why this author is on my list of favorites.

Release Day Blast *** Kiss The Boys ***

We're celebrating the release of KISS THE BOYS by Diana Downey! Check out the excerpt, teasers, and amazing giveaways below!

Title: Kiss the Boys (Lost Girls, Book 2)
Age Group: New Adult
Genre: Psychological Romantic Suspense
Release Date: November 1, 2016
Goodreads
Amazon: http://amzn.to/2e8KmOQ
Kobo: http://bit.ly/2eOTtnL
Nook: http://bit.ly/2eDbfOe
iBooks: http://apple.co/2eDhFwH

Book Description:
Three estranged brothers.
One runaway girl.

Sweet and sexy Noah soars as Spartans’ basketball shooting star. Overly protective, bad boy Nathan has beaten the devil and believes he’s invincible. And angry and bitter Jake cannot move past losing his unit in Afghanistan. After suffering personal tragedies, the three brothers barely speak to one another.

Until River.

When she runs away from her abusive foster home, she crash-lands into Noah’s arms. She should feel safe with him, but she is attracted to guys more broken than she. And his brooding brothers Nathan and Jake wait patiently to catch her when she falls. Her relationship with each jeopardizes the precarious balance of their troubled family, and she will either mend their wounds or break their hearts.

*Kiss the Boys is psychological romantic suspense, containing explicit sex. This is the second book in the Lost Girls Collection. The first book is Blackout (steamy psychological thriller) by Chris Myers. Each of these books is a standalone.

Excerpt:
Everything is bitter, the cold outside, the taste of blood in my mouth, and the sting of his belt. My foster father screams at me as he chases me out the door and through the blinding snow. The dark night doesn’t hide my tears for my ex-boyfriend Ashe lying cold and stiff on the concrete of an abandoned building where I left him alone.

I still can’t believe I just left him, but what was I supposed to do? The police would somehow blame me for Ashe’s death. I’ve already had a few scrapes with the law stealing food for me and my half-starved foster sister Mia. She’s only six, but so far, Schafe hasn’t laid a hand on her or the others, just me. The other foster kids fend for themselves and stay out of his way. I'm the only dumb one who provokes him. I can’t help it. He’s an asshole, and I’ll be damned if I’ll continuously allow him to treat me like shit.

She licks those luscious lips, slightly parting them. I want to taste them. I want to dive right in, even when I know it’s quicksand.

That same look of loneliness and pain open up to me. She blinks a few times and lures me into her with her expectant gaze. Her pull on me is strong. I close my eyes to resist, but her feminine scent overpowers me.

When I open my eyes, she chews on her lower lip, waiting on me to do something. I’ve been attracted to angels before but not like this. Ever since I first laid eyes on her, I haven’t really stopped thinking about River. My mind has worked over every word, every breath, and every curve of her body, committing them to memory. Last night, I used my hands to feel and carve her depth and shape her tragic beauty into stone.

I use my knee to spread her legs, cloaked in black stockings, and slip between them. Her skirt hitches up, and I know she’s receptive to me, even though she wore the skirt for Noah. I don’t like that she did that for him. I cannot lose her, and I can’t even explain why.

I tilt her chin back to expose the soft, creamy flesh of her neck. Her breathing increases, and I descend to those succulent lips. My tongue dives into her mouth, and she flicks hers against mine.

She moans and returns my kiss, deep and filled with longing. God, I want her. No angel has ever come onto me this strong, and I’ve never been with any woman who is younger than me. I normally take my time, not only for me but mostly for them.

Nico Medina’s world is eleven miles away from mine. During the day, it’s a place where doors are open—where homes are lived in, and neighbors love. But when the sun sets, it becomes a place where young boys are afraid, where eyes watch from idling cars that hide in the shadows and wicked smoke flows from pipes.

West End is the kind of place that people survive. It buries them—one at a time, one way or another. And when Nico was a little boy, his mom always told him to run.

Globug's Review

The Hard Count is one of my faves so far this year! I really think it's the author's best work to date and I have loved all of her books. I don't usually imagine a high school debate as being anything beyond boring so imagine my surprise when I finished reading the first chapter about a boy and girl having a debate and realized that I was entirely invested in the magic Scott was creating.

Some might say it's like a modern day West Side Story. You have Nico and Reagan who are from different classes and ethnicity. Most would see Reagan's family as a picture of what an all American family should be. In reality they're struggling with the expectations society and their community has placed on them just as much as Nico's family living on the wrong side of town. It's their common ground, a football field and debate team, that brings them together.

There's something so special about Nico. The first image the author creates of Nico is of him as a scared little boy trying to avoid the leader of the neighborhood gang. "His eyes look like the devil's, and there's always smoke coming from his mouth." Nico works hard to make good grades to make his mother and older brother proud. His effort pays off when he is awarded a scholorship to a private school on the "right" side of town.

Reagan is a Daddy's girl. I loved that even though her Dad is the football coach her character wasn't written as the head cheerleader like I expected. She's actually one of the top students in her class and she's filming a documentary about her school's football team who are known as The Tradition. One bad season is all it takes for a Coach to lose the support of board members and the community. Reagan's twin brother also happens to be the starting quarterback that lost last season's big game. So you can imagine the tension in their home.

In the beginning, Reagan felt sure that Nico hated her. He's her biggest rival in debate class. When she's see's him playing football with his buddies from the West End she knows instantly that he could be her hero. He could save the football team and her dad's job which could also save her family. All it took was for her to see something special in Nico for him to be able to see something special in himself. Convincing the team and community to look past their prejudices will be the biggest battle they face. Nico and Reagan prove to be up to the challenge and ready to play *the hard count.

*The hard count: a strategy used by the quarterback in which they will use a deceptive snap count in an effort to draw the defense offsides.

EXCERPT:
“You’re mad at me,” he says, his fingers sliding to mine, his thumb covering the top of my knuckles while the rest of his hands hold my palms.

“I’m not mad at you, Nico. I was busy. I have things that don’t have anything to do with you,” I say, still fighting.

He chuckles.

“You’re still mad at me,” he says, and I glance up just enough to see his smile, all lopsided and perfect, the dimple that he gets when he’s right in its place. I hate him so much.

“Why would I be made at you,” I sigh, acting as best as I can while my mind races through all of the reasons I am mad at Nico Medina—not a single one of them really his fault.

I meet his challenge, staring back at him, forcing the stern expression to remain on my face, while he looks back at me with perfect lips curved up a hint on one side and unfair eyes that act as target sights. I’m caught in them, and they will not let go.

“You’re mad because of some homecoming dance,” he says, and I laugh once because…fuck!

“Admit it,” he smirks.

“Nico,” I begin, finding it hard to even say his name. “I could care less who you want to go to some stupid school dance with.”

“Couldn’t care less,” he says quickly. I tilt my head and pinch my brow. “You said you could care less, but really…you mean you couldn’t.”

I jerk my hands away and huff.

“Could you?” he says, his hands back in his pockets, his head tilted, angled so I can’t ignore it.

I push my tongue in my cheek and shake my head, glancing away, but always coming back to his gaze. His stupid, perfect, eyes and face that I want to put my hand on. The damned lock of his hair that falls forward when his head leans forward, his tongue caught in his teeth. His kissable lips that I felt in a dream and watched speak in class. His arrogance. His confidence.

“Gah!” I exhale, shaking my head and focusing on the bricked wall behind him. He stands there with one foot against the wall, his back leaning into it, so comfortable seeing me so uncomfortable.

“You make me so mad!” My eyes slide to his, and his lip ticks higher.

“I knew you were mad at me,” he nods.

I stretch my arms out wide, my eyes wider, and I stare up to the ceiling with another shake of my head.

“Fine!” I shout. “Yes, you got me. I’m mad at you! Can I go do class now, please?”

Nico snickers, and I cross my arms over my chest. He pushes forward from the wall, taking a few steps toward me. On instinct, I take one back, but not far enough from his reach. He reaches for my hand again, and I hug myself tighter, tucking my fingers under each arm for protection. I’m throwing a fit now, but I’m this far in, there really isn’t any way to undo it.

Nico holds my elbows when he’s unable to get to my hands, and realizing how ridiculous I would look spinning out of his hold, I give in and let him. His touch is gentle and warm, and I wish I could just get over myself and take his hands back in mine. But I’m scared. My bottom lip shakes with nerves. Nico’s eyes glance at it, so I pull it into my teeth. I want to hide every weakness from him, but eventually I’ll have to curl up inside myself. I have too many.

“Why are you mad at me, Reagan?”

He says my name, and the word falls from his lips soft and sweet. No judgment, no challenge. My lip falls loose from the hold of my teeth and my eyes flutter shut for a long blink. I open again to find him waiting, still looking at me.

“I don’t know,” I say, with a small shake of my head.

“But you are,” he says, and I nod with the same slight movement, sucking in my bottom lip and breathing through my nose.

“Yeah,” I say, my lip falling away and my eyes only able to look at his cheek.

I’m holding myself tighter than I ever have, my fingers actually digging into my sides, my nails rough against my skin through the fabric of my gray Cornwall sweatshirt. Nico doesn’t flinch once. His eyes stay on mine when I give in, and his expression doesn’t shift from the gentle, sweet one he’s held.

His right hand lets go of my elbow, moving to the few strands of hair resting against my forehead, falling over one eye. Nico takes them with his thumbs, moving them behind my ears, his eyes watching his movement then settling back on mine.

“You’ve worn your hair down ever since I said I liked it,” he says.

I breathe in long and deep, letting myself feel this moment—all of it. I have worn my hair down. I did it hoping he would touch it, but never once actually thinking he would.

“That’s how I knew,” he says, and my forehead crinkles. He smiles on one side, repeating the gesture and moving the long wave of blonde hair from my face again. “That’s how I knew I was more than just some guy you wanted on your dad’s football team.”

Release Tour for No Pants Required {Review & Giveaway}

NPR-SBPR-RT (1).jpg

No Pants Required by Kim Karr

 Release Date: July 11th

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Cover Design: Hang Le

NPR_ebook cover.jpg

Synopsis:

I, Makayla Alexander, am on a mission to reinvent myself. So when a super hot guy boards the plane and flashes his rock hard abs, I pay attention. When he sits next to me and offers me his nuts, I can’t resist. But when I choke on them and he tells me I need to work on my gag reflex, I realize I might be in over my head.

Before I know it we’re in the lavatory and attempting to join the Mile High Club. Let me just say this...anyone who tells you it’s easy to get it on at 37,000 feet isn’t telling you the truth. After the flight attendant busts us for getting frisky in the air, the only thing that can ease my total and complete mortification is the simple fact that I am never going to see him again.

Hours later, I can’t help but wonder if fate will ever allow me to become a new version of myself.

Because Fate, she’s a fickle bitch.

Case in point...my seatmate is my new next-door neighbor. Even with the whole fate thing we have going on, we are so not meant to be together. He’s all cool and sexy in that make love not war kind of way. Guys like him are dangerous. With that bring-you-to-your-knees body, that handsome-as-hell face, and that dirty, dirty mouth, I guarantee one glance from him wets every girl's bikini bottoms.

And then there’s me…the quirky girl looking to find herself in California. All I want to do is learn to let loose. Say words like peace and groovy. Bury my toes in the sand. Who knows, maybe even have sex on the beach.

Unable to get him out of my head, I entertain the thought of being more than just friends. I know the idea is absurd. And yet, I go with it. You see Camden Waters gets me. Really gets me. Like no other guy has before.

On this 7-mile stretch of paradise, I decide to keep things simple and just have fun...that is until fate decides to screw with me, again.

Can two people hell-bent on finding themselves realize the search should have ended the day they met? Find out in No Pants Required—a sexy, funny, romantic stand-alone, that will have you hurrying to grab your bathing suit and rushing to the beach to check out every lifeguard on duty.

Globug's Review

No Pants Required, the title alone appealed to me. I'm a lose-the-pants-and-bra kinda girl when I get home from work. I was hoping it would be light hearted read too. Sometimes I just need a little romance without the angst. I loved right from the beginning that I felt akin to Makayla because of her feelings about participating in karaoke. Not to mention her inability to look away when a couple gets more than a little frisky in a dark corner (takes me back to my first experience in a strip club...good times).

Makayla is a smart, strong willed, ambitious girl. She was pretty confident too until her love life takes a major detour through shitsville. At least she has a best friend (Maggie) to help her recover from heartbreak and reinvent herself. That's where the fun begins. An outrageous to-do list should help Makayla kick-start her new i'm-not-uptight life and the sexy hunk of man flesh that just boarded her flight is the perfect guy to use for the project.

Cam Waters' reasons for leaving New York aren't too different from Makayla's. His way of coping and moving on from his past are a little different though. He hasn't really been moving on but more like stewing in anger with his future placed on pause. It's like fate that he and Makayla come together. They will be the spark that each of them needs to not only recognize who they want to be but to also become their best selves.

There's plenty of heat and chemistry between Cam and Makayla. The dirty talk and banter was really fun. I think part of what I loved most though was Cam's journey overcoming the loss of his brother and finding true love.

She likes to believe in soul mates, kindred spirits, true friends, and Happily-Ever-Afters. She loves to drink champagne, listen to music, and hopes to always stay young at heart.
