Full of Grace by Misty Provencher {Review}

Title: FULL OF GRACE

Author: Misty Provencher

Published: April 18, 2013

Synopsis

Running about 7 bananas strong on shots from Hale and Oscar Maree's wedding bar, what happened between Landon Grace and Sher Traifere was supposed to be a one time thing. A quickie on a romantic night. Sher wanted a fast evening of fireworks to remember on the dull horizon of her life; Landon wanted to get his mind off his psycho ex by feeling Sher's curves. By the end of the evening, a secret of Sher's complicates Landon's attempt to escape the girl's chainsaw giggle.
Some one-night-stands just can't be finished in one night.
Even more complicating, this one rises back up with a hard shot of morning sickness and an entire repertoire of questions. The most important being: how much pull does a guy really have in a woman's choice to pursue or terminate a pregnancy?
And in this case, how clever can he be about stealing her pants?

Blog Tour: Review/Playlist and Giveaway Just Breathe by Kendall Grey

Synopsis:

He made a deal with the devil to save the woman he loves…

After tragedy rocks the foundation of their relationship, Australian Sentinel Gavin Cassidy and whale biologist Zoe Morgan call it quits. Gavin can’t forgive himself for shattering her trust, and being with the sexy rock star is killing Zoe. Literally.

But love—and duty—are powerful motivators, and alliances are forged in the most unlikely places. With the key to salvation locked inside the mind of an unconscious child, Gavin must find another way to snuff out the Fyre Elementals before millions of humans die, or make good on his deal with the devil and lose the one he loves. Again.

*This book contains graphic language, sex, and violence. Not suitable for readers under the age of 18.

**The author will donate all profits from the sale of the JUST BREATHE trilogy to programs that educate people about whales and the challenges they face.

Jeez. I think my emotions have run an obstacle course, been chased by wild dogs and then rocked to sleep all in one day! When I started this book I knew going in that shit would be tough due to the way EXHALE ended but I had no clue what I was in for! I started reading it a little over a week ago and got to 26% and started freaking out emotionally and quit reading. I was so distraught I had to read another review just to brace myself for what was to come. That didn't even help because what I wanted to know most still didn't prepare me for the battle ahead. After grabbing my Vagisil and putting on my big girl panties I finally picked it back up to finish and I am so glad I did! Just Breathe picks up where Exhale left off with Zoe Morgan and Gavin Cassidy trying to pick up the broken pieces of what Scarlet did to them. Exhale damn near ruined me emotionally and mentally. I will forever refer to it as the BEST, WORST book I have ever read. I got emotionally involved into the story of Gavin and Zoe so when Scarlet fucked everything up at the end I was broken. But for every broken piece of my soul Exhale left behind, Just Breathe pieced me back together, now I feel like Humpty Fucking Dumpty!

The world is going to shit and both Gavin and Zoe have to put aside their relationship woes to try and save both the Dreaming and Realis from the Fyres' ultimate take over. The Fyres have control of the door to the Dreaming and therefore wreak havoc on the Wyldlings who inhabit the Dreaming while they sleep. They must be stopped before the Equinox when they will Tythe their elemental gifts to their god Incendius. The entire fate of Realis and The Dreaming rests on the awakening of a small girl, Whetu, who is foretold to be the key to finding the door, but with her in a coma can't nobody do shit. Gavin takes it upon himself to do WHATEVER it takes to stop Scarlet from taking over and makes a huge fucking mistake that made me to want to vomit and eat it again!

This mistake causes him physical and emotional pain and it broke my heart to see him so distraught about his decision that he knows could ultimately destroy his love with Zoe. Meanwhile Zoe is trying to push all of her time and energy into helping the whales and amassing an army of Waeter elementals to fight the Fyres. Her father Jack leads a rogue group of sentinels (Byrn, Vexx, Jet, and Xanthos) on a mission to help save the Wyldlings while trying to wake Whetu up from her coma. Sinnder is doing his own thing trying desperately to take down Scarlet for what she did to his family in the past and becomes an unlikely ally. Scarlet is still the same stupid cunt she always has been, causing problems and shit. The story builds to a dramatic conclusion with several surprises that are sure to please and excite you!

I can't even explain how I felt when I finished this book because every emotion known to man was bouncing around inside my heart and head. Kendall really steps up the drama, the anguish and the suspense in this last book. I really started to hate Kendall Grey during the first half of this book. I swear if we were still in high school I would hold her head to my butt and fart! But despite the heartache and pain you go through with the main characters you also see just what a literary genius Kendall is. This woman knows what the reader wants but instead of just giving you what you crave right away she makes you fight for it. You have to crawl through broken glass, and fire walk through the flames with gasoline panties to get to the marshmallow goodness on the other side! I wouldn't have it any other way despite all my protests. If I thought I was in love with Gavin and Zoe in the first 2 books, I had no idea how much farther there was to fall. They were torn to shreds by opposing forces and still managed to come out on top. What I absolutely love about Kendall's writing is how well she balances out all of the characters. With so many plots, and twists and characters she maintains the fluidity of the story flawlessly. We get to see through several different characters eyes during Just Breathe especially everyone's favorite Fyre Sinnder!

I have been in love with Sinnder ever since he cornered Zoe in that damn bar! I can't explain why but since then I have been silently hoping Zoe and Sinnder would get to fuck each other! Especially after Scarlet got her claws in Gavin, I was seriously rooting for a Revenge fuck in Just Breathe until I remembered Jet and then i was like...

One of the best parts of the book was watching Zoe and Gavin grow stronger as they worked together to save the world and their relationship. Seeing how things worked out was worth every heart shredding minute! There is a very intense moment towards the conclusion of the story that overwhelmed me so much that I had to stop reading due to the tears in my eyes. That's when I took to Facebook and started singing Kendall's praises for such a beautiful, touching moment. As for the second best part without spoiling to much I will simply say...JUSTICE! Beautiful, orgasmic JUSTICE! Kendall makes you wait for it but when she delivers, it is swift and Delicious! It's like waking up on Christmas morning to find an Easter Basket full of dildos! I bugged the shit out of Kendall while she was writing and begged her to make it a giant spectacle with fireworks and hot dogs and Lynard Skynard playing in the background but she handled the situation as only Kendall Grey could. I have to give props to KG because the bitch knows how to write a villain! A character so fucked up with absolutely NO redeeming qualities what-so-fucking-ever! Thankfully she doesn't make you want to like Scarlet! There is nothing but straight up hatred for this character throughout it all! After reading the very last sentence I no longer hold contempt for Kendall. In fact if I was into Lesbian sex I would be motor boating her bunghole. Shit who am I kidding? I haven't gotten laid since Obama took office the first time, beggars can't be choosers right? This was by far the best book in the series in my very humble opinion and I can't wait to see what else she has in store for us. I honestly hope we get a book all about the Tongans because I have a serious crush on these stoic bastards. I came across this picture the other day and had to share what my imagination conjured while reading about them!

Can you imagine three of these wild sexy beasts? We don't really get to know the Tongans but they have captivated my imagination and that just goes to show how amazing Kendall is. Her vivid world of Wyldlings and Elementals comes to life and makes you forget about reality and I can only hope that she continues writing more crazy ass characters and fucked up situations that both break you down and build you up. I would like to extend a personal thank you to Kendall for putting up with my dramatic tweets and Facebook posts while suffering through the beginning. You were absolutely right and from now on I will trust you when you promise it's worth it. You are one crazy ass woman and I am so glad I get to be a part of your world. (OK now I sound like the damn little mermaid) To the readers out there I implore you to dive head first into this crazy fantastic series full of strange characters, hot sex and delish bad boys! HOLLA!

“Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned. It’s been 1,399 years since my last confession. In that time, I’ve put other gods before you.” He ticked off one finger. “Taken your name in vain. Neglected to keep the Sabbath holy. Murdered. Committed adultery. Stolen. Lied. And coveted many, many neighbors’ wives.” Loc. 3934

“I love you more than anything in the universe. But if I had to do it over again, I would make the same decision. If I have to lose you to save innocent people in this country, I’ll let you go. It’ll haunt me for the rest of my days, but I’ll do it. This is who I am.” Loc. 4392

“I’m not sure where our future together is heading, but I’m positive I can’t go on without her. If I have to give up my life here in Australia to be with her, I will." Loc. 5445

Kendall Grey, word wrangler, whale warrior, wicked wench, and lover of tongue-tripping alliteration, was born without an off-switch between her brain and mouth. She's been called the "Flux Capacitor of Twitter" (@kendallgrey1) and "A little package of love all wrapped up in F-word paper," but she's really just a maniacal writer relaying eyewitness accounts of the rave inside her head. She writes urban fantasy with strong romantic elements and also dabbles in erotica and horror on occasion.

Kendall lives off a dirt road near Atlanta, Georgia, but don't hold that against her.

Review: Hardball by V.K Sykes

Synopsis:
After years of hard work and keeping her nose firmly to the grindstone, Dr. Holly Bell has finally achieved her dream: a position as a pediatric surgeon at a prestigious teaching hospital. Children’s lives rest in her skilled hands. That means total dedication to her work and her patients without letting anything or anyone get in the way. And a hot affair with a superstar athlete is most definitely getting in Holly’s way.

Nate Carter, star pitcher for the Philadelphia Patriots, has the world in the palm of his baseball glove. He’s at the height of his game, a west coast team is about to lure him with even greater riches, and the most gorgeous women in town are in full pursuit. Nate has everything he wants, or at least he thinks he does, until he meets the beautiful and brainy Dr. Holly Bell. He’s totally up for a hot affair, and Holly turns out to be the hottest.

But will Holly be willing to play his game? When the lovely doctor starts changing the rules, Nate realizes he just might be playing for keeps

Did you see the cover? Yeah It's hot! This was one of those books that I didn't know what I thought about it until it was done. It was OK, I didn't feel a connection to the characters like I was hoping to. The story was decent, you got the shy, insecure Doctor, Holly Bell who by chance meets a popular baseball player Nate Carter and that sets off a whirlwind romance. They have hot sexual chemistry they can't deny but he isn't ready to settle down and after almost a month of dating Holly wants him to agree to not bang other women while with her. While they figuring out what to do about their relationship Holly experiences some dramatic bullshit with the parent of one of her patients that causes her some stress. Throughout the story she is trying to save a little boy's life but meets Resistance with the kids' father. The guy is unstable and you find out just how Koo-Koo this bitch is. The characters were pretty cool, Holly got on my nerves when she freaks out about Nate not porking other chicks when she banged him on their first date! I mean Hello? Ladies if you bang a guy on your first date and then cry about why he left you...the answer is in the question!

(Disclaimer: If this offends you in any way the my work here is done!)

YES. I. DID. I totally went there! There are two supporting characters in this book that make into the next book titled FASTBALL that I actually want to read next because these characters captured my attention in this book. Hardball had everything a story needs: Drama, Suspense, Romance and of course SEX! Even though I didn't connect with the characters the book was pretty good. This book is FREE so give it a read and tell me what you think. Alright I gotta go pluck my chin hairs so you mofo's have a great day!

About The Authors:

V.K. Sykes is really two people - Vanessa Kelly and Randy Sykes, a husband and wife team who write sexy contemporary romance. Randy excels at plot and characterization, but tends to fall down on the job when it comes to that pesky old thing called emotion. That's where Vanessa steps in. She usually writes the sex scenes, too, since Randy is a bit uncomfortable when it comes to that sort of stuff. Vanessa also writes Regency-set historical romance for Kensington Zebra under her own name.

***This book is for mature audiences only!***

Excerpt:

The Bargain – Her Part

"Watch with me for a while and see what comes up."
"I suppose you think watching porn is foreplay."
"As much as reading it is."
She wanted to argue, but she couldn't deny that reading a descriptive love scene turned her on. "All right. I'll watch this with you, if you'll read one of my books with me."
"Sounds fair. Just make sure you read me the juicy parts. None of the mushy stuff."
"Agreed. But I want to see some naked men. All this girl stuff is...." She caught her breath as a woman on the screen tugged her own nipples and moaned while another woman licked between her spread legs. "Okay, it's hot, but I want man flesh, too." She sat in his lap and rubbed her butt against the ridge in his jeans.
"You got it." He clicked a couple of links and showed her a gallery of images. "I think you'll like this one." He clicked play.
The video started with a man with long, flowing hair and rock-hard muscles dressed as a cowboy tossing bales of hay onto a wagon. "Wow, he's hot."
Charlie nibbled her shoulder. "I know what my baby wants."
A sexy cowgirl wearing microscopic cut-off jeans and a barely-there shirt offered him a drink. He downed it in one gulp, then took the pitcher from her and poured it over her mountainous cleavage. She tried to act offended, but she wasn’t very good at it, and her shirt ended up at her feet. "They're terrible actors."
"No one watches porn for the acting, honey."
"Good point. He's got a nice body. Wow!"
The cowboy's pants hit the ground, and the cowgirl dropped to her knees to suck his huge cock. "How can she get that whole thing in her mouth?"
"Mmm... practice?" His hand snaked under her shirt, and her nipple hardened before his fingers even touched it.
He unzipped her jeans and wiggled his fingers into her panties. She squirmed in her husband's lap, her thighs splayed while he teased her. "I like that."
"I thought you would."
"No. I meant I like watching him take his clothes off."
Charlie laughed softly against her shoulder, making circles on her skin with his tongue. "I can tell." His fingers slipped on the wet, pulsing nub between her legs, and she moaned.
"Do they always leave their shoes on?"
He blinked at the screen.
The cowgirl had draped her legs over the cowboy's shoulders, and dug into his back with her boots. He spread her thighs wide and exposed her pink flesh to the camera.
Charlie grunted. "I never noticed."
The porn star moaned and writhed while her partner licked her pussy. "Oh, here's where the acting starts," said Andrea.
"Think so?"
"No one comes that fast."
"We'll see." He pulled her shirt off and massaged her breasts, pinching her nipples between his fingers.
"Mmm... I like that." She moaned and leaned back into his arms. "You, I mean."

Hootie Says:

                                        ^^^^THIS^^^^

Seriously I need to run through a garden sprinkler at the moment! Amelia James has quickly become my favorite trashy writer with her fiery, sexy, fun books. Whenever I'm in the mood for a good raunchy read I know who to turn to! The Devil Made Me Do It was a compilation of short erotic stories that had me putting the book down several times to cool off. And by "Cool Off" I mean handle my business. And By "Handle My Business" I mean.... LOL you get the picture! The main thing I loved about this book was that most of the couples were married and keeping their "Flame" flickering by saucing up their bedroom! Ladies if you need some ideas to seduce your hubby, you need to read this! I loved how all the men in the stories have blue eyes. Nothing is more sexy than a big man with baby blues! One of the sexiest things I have often found myself daydreaming about is a big muscular man in a kilt! That is where Amelia and I get along perfectly (besides that we are both HUGE Packer fans!) because we love Scotsman with a Christmas skirt! One of the stories in this book was called Midnight Rendezvous that featured a sexy Highland Warrior named Duncan Mackenzie. The best part about novellas, especially erotic novellas is that the story never gets stale. You get to experience several different things and it stays exciting and new! I wish some of the stories would have gone on just a little longer because i started to really like certain characters but it was still good. I think my favorite story within this book is the actual Devil Made Me Do It short. It holds one of my favorite quotes I have read in a book:

"Yeah, but men don't always get hints. I had to beat Brian over the head with a clue-by-four before he got it."

Isn't that clever as shit?? Amelia James knows how to make you giggle and swoon while simultaneously ruining your drawers! One of these days I will buy stock in Hanes Her Way! There were several quotable moments throughout but you will have to read it for yourself! Don't worry, you won't be disappointed!

Amelia James started reading steamy romance novels in junior high, but her mom took them away from her, so she started daydreaming instead. After she got married, she wrote some of her naughtier daydreams down and sent them to Playgirl magazine. Two of them got published.  She kept daydreaming and writing stories until her dirty stories turned into trashy books.
She lives in Colorado, but she’ll always be a loyal Wisconsin Cheesehead. When she’s not lusting after her next bad boy hero, she looks for inspiration in sci-fi and action movies, football players, bloodsucking lawyers, muscle cars, and kick-butt chicks.

Review: About Last Night by Ruthie Knox

Synopsis from Goodreads:

Cath Talarico knows a mistake when she makes it, and God knows she’s made her share. So many, in fact, that this Chicago girl knows London is her last, best shot at starting over. But bad habits are hard to break, and soon Cath finds herself back where she has vowed never to go . . . in the bed of a man who is all kinds of wrong: too rich, too classy, too uptight for a free-spirited troublemaker like her.

Nev Chamberlain feels trapped and miserable in his family’s banking empire. But beneath his pinstripes is an artist and bohemian struggling to break free and lose control. Mary Catherine—even her name turns him on—with her tattoos, her secrets, and her gamine, sex-starved body, unleashes all kinds of fantasies.

When blue blood mixes with bad blood, can a couple that is definitely wrong for each other ever be perfectly right? And with a little luck and a lot of love, can they make last night last a lifetime?

Hootie Says:

Holy Shit! Yes! This book was amazing! I have never felt so connected to a character as I did while reading this book.

Cath was such a wonderful, complex well developed character who saw her life as tragic. Bad things seemed to follow her and that ended up shaping her to be a tough, no nonsense person. After her dad died she took it hard and started acting out which in turn pushed her mother to move back to London. Cath stayed back in the states with family and made a series of bad choices that landed her in hot water. Once she found out her mother was sick she headed to London to try and start fresh with her life. She ends up tattooing her mistakes on herself to remind her not to make anymore. Cath felt like bad things happened to her back to back, and that's how I felt connected to her character. It seems like all the crappy things in my life happen in sequential groupings. My heart broke for Cath once it comes out what has happened to her. It was beautifully tragic and amazing all at once.

The relationship between Nev and Cath was...

Whoo! I needed a cold shower by the time I was done! There were several moments in this book where the romance heats up between these two making for some good reading! Mama like a little heat in her romance OK! Nev was so charming and sexy he made me wish he was real! I loved it when he got Bossy and demanding with her.

"Turn around"

"Spread your legs"

"Bend Over"

Fucking pinch me! That is hot just writing it! His sexy factor gets kicked up a notch because the man is ENGLISH! who doesn't bend over for a British accent? Hell any accent will do it for me lol! Nev wasn't just a demanding sex god he was also very tender and sweet when he needed to show Cath how he felt.

"I promise you Cath you won't regret me"

"If you don't turn up I'll be thinking of you, but I'd rather you turned up"

How sweet! I just love when a male character is romantic and sexy! His mother and his brother though I could do without. I can't stand stuck up rich people who look down on others. His mother was a total bitch but I love how the author made you hate her at one point but love her by the end! That is a really hard thing to do for me! Once I hate a character I usually won't change my mind. His brother Winston is still on my shit list though! The book as a whole was awesome. I laughed, I cried, and jumped for joy. I also think Ruthie owes me some...

Because the hot parts of this book were that juicy! (PUN INTENDED!) Behind all that sexy goodness is a really great story, so check it out!!

Review: Confessions of an Alli Cat - Courtney Cole

Synopsis from Goodreads:

Thirty-five year-old Allison “Alli” Lancaster has it all—a fabulous job, a beautiful 15 year-old daughter, a hilarious BFF and a gorgeous house with a pool and Jacuzzi in an exclusive Las Vegas neighborhood. What she doesn’t have is a husband, because she kicked her lousy, cheating ex to the curb nine months ago. Since then, Alli has paid her dues with seemingly endless self-improvement and seemingly endless mourning. Now she’s ready to move on and try new things.

Alli’s idea of “trying new things” is nothing like that devil-of-a-best-friend of hers. Somehow, Sara, the devil of a best friend, talks Alli into trying out a sex toy, sleeping with a younger man and letting a stranger in a lab jacket put hot wax on a place that should never, ever, ever see wax. And that’s only the beginning.

Alli never saw her life going quite like this. She also never thought she’d meet someone else who had the very real potential to change her life forever

But she did.

Enter the new guy. He’s gorgeous, refined and mature. He’s also marriage material. But that poses a problem for Alli, who renounced the institution of marriage when she renounced her ex. What’s a girl to do?

They say that what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. But what the heck happens when you can’t leave Vegas? Well, you spin the wheel, of course. You play the game and let the chips fall where they may.

Alli just hopes she can find them all.

*******

Caution! Only read this book if you want to laugh and are not offended at adult themes and language. This is not a Young Adult book

Hootie Says:

I can't begin to count how many times I laughed while reading this book! It was such a funny, witty and sexy read that I wasn't able to put down! I was given an ARC of this book a week ago and I still can't stop thinking about the hilarious fuckery that Alli and her best friend Sara get themselves into! They reminded me of I Love Lucy...

and The Nanny...

only imagine what it would be like if Lucy and The Nanny got married and had a kid! YEAH! That would be EPIC! Which is what this book ultimately becomes!

Alli is a somewhat timid woman until Sara (The BFF) convinces her to get her groove on with a younger guy. She is reluctant until she lays eyes on that sexy bastard!

(Chu want to pet dee Kitty??)

Once she gets over the awkwardness of banging a stranger, Shade (Mr. Hottie McPokes-alot) teaches her the ropes on satisfying a man. (Where can you find men with that kind of stamina? I end up with the baby dicks, or psychos.) Alli and Shade develop a friendship and he helps her prepare for getting back into the dating world. When Alli goes on her first date and Shade tags along funny shit happens!

"I'd. Like. The. Pasta Alfredo."

Doesn't sound like it would be funny by that quote but trust me the situation will have you peeing your pants! I loved watching Alli slowly rebuild her confidence with Shade helping her. When her shitty ex dumped her she lost her spark. While spending time with her daughter something unexpected happens that should give women everywhere a freaking BONER!

"I didn't do it on purpose!"

When her new boss comes into the picture it changes Alli's perspective on everything she vowed after getting rid of her ex. Alex is charming, funny, sweet and sexy! The chemistry between Alli and Alex ignites in a hilarious and sensual manner during a particular moment in the book.

"DON'T GRIND IT IN! I'LL SUCK IT OFF!"

Absolutely classic!!

I just can't fully express how amazing this book was! Not only was it funny, but it had heart and tons of steamy moments to fog your glasses! I laughed, I swooned and I even got hot and bothered, so all in all it was the perfect trifecta! Absolute must read!
