About CHASING RIVER: Armed with two years' worth of savings and the need to experience life outside the bubble of her Oregon small town, twenty-five-year old Amber Welles is prepared for anything. Except dying in Dublin. Had it not been for the bravery of a stranger, she might have. But he takes off before she has the chance to offer her gratitude. Twenty-four-year-old River Delaney is rattled. No one was supposed to get hurt. But then that American tourist showed up. He couldn't let her die, but he also couldn’t risk being identified at the scene—so, he ran. Back to his everyday life of running his family’s pub. Only, everyday life is getting more and more complicated, thanks to his brother, Aengus, and his criminal associations. When the American girl tracks River down, he quickly realizes how much he likes her, how wrong she is for him. And how dangerous it is to have her around. Chasing her off would be the smart move. Maybe it's because he saved her life, or maybe it's because he's completely different from everything she's left behind, but Amber finds herself chasing after River Delaney. Amber isn’t the kind of girl to chase after anyone. And River isn't the kind of guy she'd want to catch.

     Globug's Review

Not gonna lie, River had me at "hello, I'm Irish." He doesn't really say that but he is Irish and yes that alone got my attention. Best part is that his awesome factor never wavered for me.

River Delaney is the middle of three brothers. For him it's like having an angel on one shoulder and the devil on the other. His oldest brother Aengus, the devil, has recently been released from prison and quickly finds his way back to trouble. Then there's Rowen who is in college and helping River run the family pub. He's sweet and fun-loving and totally loyal to River. I loved his character. In River's attempt to keep Aengus out of trouble he finds himself right in the middle of a potentially lethal bombing. He saves the life of Amber Welles but then runs away before he can be identified, or so he thought.

Amber, the daughter of a Sheriff has always followed the rules while her brother spent much of they're childhood braking them. After becoming successful and having a career as a  Nurse she has decided to travel the world before settling down. Ireland was to be only one of the many places she planned to explore. Her plans did not of course include being nearly killed by a pipe bomb. She makes it her mission to find the mystery hero that saved her life. She struggles with being the girl that always does what's expected of her or to let her curiosities help her discover who she really is as an individual. I found Amber to be very likable. She steps out of her comfort zone to persue River, a man that is surrounded by danger and not the kind of guy she can see ever having a future with but his gorgeous looks and hero status make him  irresistible.

The author gives a brief history lesson in the beginning that helped me to better understand the real danger Amber faces by associating with River. River struggles to protect his family from the trouble that Aengus has caused but at the same time he also wants to protect Aengus. His growing feelings for Amber and his self deprecating feelings continue to complicate matters.

Amber and River ultimately give into desire. Their passion pushes them past their doubts until the potential danger becomes a reality and nearly costs them everything. I hoped that Aengus might redeem himself but honestly in the end he was forced to do the right thing and that just wasn't enough. I wasn't thrilled that Amber chose to follow her head more than her heart but that's just because I know I wouldn't have been strong enough to make the choice she did. And her decision does lead to River making some pretty epic choices as well. I have to say Chasing River was my favorite so far in this series. I would love for the author to write a book for the youngest brother Rowen.

And don’t forget BURYING WATER and BECOMING RAIN, the first two books in this thrilling series…
