Hootie Says:

This is one of the most beautifully gut wrenching books I have ever read. It's exciting, and funny, and sweet, and romantic and tragic rolled into one phenomenal story! I was completely blown the hell away by this book, so much so that I started re-reading it again once I finished. I also am not ashamed to admit that I read it four more times the following two weeks after I finished. It is just that good of a story. I couldn't put it down until I absolutely HAD to! (i.e. bathroom, shower, sleep etc.) The characters were so real and honest and they pulled out so many emotions in me I wasn't expecting to feel from a book. I had always heard people say how emotional they got during a book and would laugh at them for being wieners! Then I read this one and I  became a wiener myself! 

Travis and Abby became my ultimate favorite fictional couple and I can't wait until Walking Disaster comes out! I am practically salivating over it! Because this is one of my all time favorite books, and I have an extra copy I would like to thank our followers and fans by giving one away! You all have been so good to us, and I can't begin to thank you personally for accepting me and supporting Globug and I. We will be doing more Giveaways in the coming weeks and look forward to providing you with goofy entertainment and up to date reviews on amazing authors and books!

Review: The Marriage Mistake - Jennifer Probst

Once again I was captivated by this amazing series! I can't even put into words just how much I loved this book but I will try!

Picking up where The Marriage Trap left off, we saw Carina pining away after her brothers best friend Max. She has loved him her whole life and has always followed him around like a lost little puppy dog. When her sister-in-law gives her "The Book" with strict instructions not to buy into this silly hogwash because it doesn't work. Carina agrees but eventually gives in to her curiosity and makes a list with the only quality she is looking for. Once the list is burned we sit back and wait...

When Carina realizes what she wanted isn't happening she finally decides to move on with her life. She heads to America to help out with the family business and put her education to good use. Her brother Michael informs her she is to begin working as Max's assistant! (YOWZA! This should be fun!) She pushes her old feelings for him aside and sticks to business, but Max may prove to be more of a temptation than she can handle.
(I Loved Carina's Character! She went from a shy timid girl to a full grown vixen who knew what she wanted and went for it! Watching her take advantage of her sexiness was so fulfilling.)  Tired of everyone treating her like a little kid still, she wants to try out her wildest fantasies but her only chance is scared away by none other than... MAX!

Max was a fun character to read. He was such a good guy, not wanting to treat women the way his dad treated his mother. He was determined to treat his relationships with respect and always be honest with the ladies he was with. When Carina comes back into his life she opens his eyes to the fact that maybe he isn't so noble after all. She gets under his skin in a way no other woman does and he tries so hard to keep an eye on her. When he starts to respond to her saucy challenges he can't help but want her. 

"Her scent wrapped around him and made him want to run in circles like a dog trying to catch his tail."

It's always funny when a man can't help himself around a beautiful woman. He can't keep his hands to himself for long and the passion between them catches fire! But Max is determined to keep his hands to himself which pisses Carina off! 

Everything changes for these two when they head to Vegas on a business trip though. Up until this point Max frustrated the holy shit out of me with his back and forth behavior. When his longtime friend and business acquaintance, Sawyer tries to stake a claim, that pushes Max into action. 

"You're gonna pay for teasing me sweetheart"

The hot factor skyrockets during the 24 hours they give themselves to get it out of their system. I loved how sweet and sexy Max was with Carina. He knew just how to treat her and make her (and my drawers) melt. When the magic is over and morning comes an unexpected visitor shows up and throws a monkey wrench into the mix. Neither one of them are prepared to face the consequences.

UGH! This book had it all! Heart, Depth and SEX! Mama like a little Boom Boom! I knew while reading The Marriage Trap these two characters would be my favorite simply because they had history! I found myself crying in certain places and laughing in others. The only thing that bothered me was a small 50 Shades reference. 

"Christian Grey has nothing on you"

I think it is complete and total BULLSHIT that someone wrote a fan fiction about another popular book series and then got published. I think it is unfair to the original author who did all the hard work and built the fan base for someone else to ride those coattails, and I can't fathom how everyone including other authors can think there is nothing wrong about this and loves the book! This is only my humble opinion so I digress. 

But don't don't let my soapbox rant deter you from reading this book because Max comes back with a zinger and it totally wiped away my aggravation!

You can't help but love MAX! This book rocked my world and I  want to give a shout out to NETGALLEY for the ARC!

YOWZA!!! Let me start by saying if you haven't read The Marriage Bargain you most definitely should! You don't NEED to in order to follow the story in this one but it was a fantastic book and I loved it! This book starts out with the infamous book of love spells that Alexa used in TMB.

Maggie ends up with it one night and decides it couldn't hurt to give it a try...right? So against her better judgement she makes a list, burns it and sits back and waits for her Mr. right. She soon finds out that it's not that easy to find what you are looking for. Michael gets under her skin big time. She knows that but she just can't seem to stay away. I loved watching Maggie in action in this book. I knew she would be fun and spunky just judging from her friendship with Alexa in TMB. She has convinced herself that Michael is in love with Alexa because she can't believe a guy could have platonic feelings for a woman. She had a shitty childhood due to her parents being absent and because of that she had a bad experience with her first boyfriend that shaped her love life from then on. My heart broke for Maggie knowing what she went through with her parents. She never really felt loved by them and that can really mess a child up. I am surprised she turned out so well in her career due to that trauma. Things get serious when Michael approaches her about being his fake wife just for appearances sake in front of his family. The fun starts when they get to Italy and meet his Mama....

Yes I did picture his mama as Sophia from Golden Girl! I really couldn't help it because I am such a huge GG fan! So Once they arrive in Italy Maggie has a hard time not loving his family. How could you NOT love them? They freaking make fresh pasta for GOD sake!!! I loved watching Michael with his family! It was absolutely adorable, especially at a certain part when they were baby sitting his nephews one night....

"Aunt Maggie said ASS! ASS means BUTT! ASS ASS BUTT BUTT!"

Maggie isn't too fond of kids so she has no clue what to do with all these boys. It's so funny to watch her and Michael  in this situation, both trying hard to work together even though they are fighting the attraction to each other! 

I loved Michael in this book. I knew he would be an amazing character and I was right. He was charming, sexy, and real. He was thrust into a fatherhood role too early when his papa passed away, so he had to become their provider and guardian. I felt so bad for him, all he wanted to do was take care of his family. I wanted to climb inside this book and ravish the hell outta Michael! He can speak Italian to me any day! Speaking of ravishing when Maggie and Michael finally give in to their chemistry....

Whoo Lawd! I needed a damn cigarette after this even though I quit 15 years ago! Needless to say things heat up between Maggie and Michael. It was so fulfilling to see things come to fruition with these two. I thought I was going to have to slap Maggie!! I was like "GIRL STOP FIGHTING THIS SHIT YO!" UGH! The few nail biting moments had me climbing the walls not knowing where this story was going though. I tend to get a little emotional when shit hits the fan! Thankfully though Jennifer Probst knows what she is doing when it comes to writing! I loved how it ended and I really hope she isn't done with these books or characters! It's definitely a five star book you have to read!!
