RELEASE DAY: OCTOBER 23
Their love burned bright, white hot, and strikingly blue
around the edges.
Some thought them
careless.
Some thought them
crazy.
No one approved.
Taylor Barrett was looking for answers in a universe that
had abandoned him.
Jude Boehler flooded her dark world with charisma and
mystery, drawing everyone into her hurricane.
It was a most captivating of love affairs. They were
shooting stars, meteors in the sky, colliding to create a spectacularly
wonderful reckless romance, leaving them breathless and tethered.
But that’s what Love
does.
Their souls were exposed to the chaos, bare and vulnerable.
Can these two star-crossed lovers survive the madness that is life?

Globug's Reveiw
This was so different from anything I've read by Scott before. Jude Boehler is so unique. At first I wasn't sure if she was crazy or just quirky. I wasn't expecting her to be such a tortured soul.
By the end of chapter three my gut squeezed when I realized that something was terribly wrong in Jude's life. The way she talks in circles added to my indecision about rather she was mentally unstable or just eccentric. At times she seemed so innocent and child-like. Taylor is totally taken with her when they meet. He's not quite sure what to think about her whimsical behavior but he's drawn to her and she makes him feel more alive than he has in months.
"Show me how to love. Until I met you, I think I've been doing it all wrong."
She kissed his temple and said, "When done right, love is felt, not shown."
Taylor is also a struggling soul. Throughout the story I couldn't help but notice how little his parents were involved in his life. He's actually quite lonely. When he needed friends and family the most they failed him. The fear of losing Jude makes him keep hidden the truth about his ex-fiance. She understands the need for secrets and it's most painful when she begins to share hers.
When Taylor and Jude are together it's like reality disappears and they exist in a bubble of love and bliss. You can't help but feel hope that Taylor will be able to save her from her demons. I was so scared for Jude. Her situation added suspense that made it difficult to put the book down. Until Taylor came into her life she's had no one that tried to help her.
Wealth is one of the biggest demons in both of their lives. They're surrounded by people that are driven by greed or are self-absorbed. I loved that the author makes sure the characters that deserve punishment get it. I would have loved for Taylor's ex to get a nasty visit from Karma though. Most of all I loved that Taylor and Jude get more than just a happy ending. It's more of a happily ever after with the surprise the author gives them. This was definitely my favorite by S.L. Scott so far.
Excerpt
“I’m going to want all of you. I want all your secrets and
your soul.”
She squirmed beneath him, forgiving him of his own sin of
denying her his secrets, as he lowered himself. “Don’t you know, Hazel? You’ve
had all of me all along.”
He kissed her just above where she really wanted him.
Teasing her. “You’re getting demanding.” Kiss.
“I can’t help it. You created a monster.”
“You’re lucky I find you so delectable.”
She knew exactly how fortunate she was. “I am. I’m the
luckiest girl in the—” She gasped when he kissed her exactly where she had
wanted. “Oh God, Hazel. I’m so
lucky.” The tips of her fingers dragged slowly up her body as she murmured,
“Lucky. Lucky. Luck! E.”
Shortly after, the starburst whitened the insides of her
lids, and she returned the favor. He was left helplessly at her mercy until his
body was teetering on the edge of ecstasy and what felt like death. Jude got up
and kissed his chest. “I want you, babe, inside me.”
He sat up. “You want me? You get me on my terms. On your
hands and knees.”
Her body clenched in anticipation. Even though they have had
passionate sex, even some rough, play that was fun, he had never made demands
of her. But she liked it. She liked feeling wanted sexually. Positioning
herself, she felt his warm palms glide over her back and bottom before she felt
a gentle pressure. Her breath was pushed out as he pushed in, holding her
steady by the hips.
