 I'll start by admitting I have very little knowledge about the BDSM world. That made it really easy for me to connect with the lead character Brielle. She's twenty-six and has only had sexual experience with two men who did very little in the way of rocking her world. For the last five years, Brielle has crushed on her best friend Kirby. Of course it's just like a girl to think it's her fault he hasn't noticed her. When she finds an advertisement for a Gentleman Mentor it seems to be the perfect solution.

Hale, the Gentleman Mentor, wins no prize for his first impression. He comes across as cocky and arrogant in his responses to Brielle's inquiries. He points out that he's not looking for a weekend fuck but takes his job seriously and is very busy. He helps woman learn the art of seduction. I will say that he won me over quickly though. He's very sweet and sensitive to Brielle. He's very charming and his dominance is a lot more attractive than Brielle expected. I got the feeling also when they first meet that Hale might've known her in the past. It was very interesting to see how that played out and added a little mystery to feel of the book. I really liked that Hale was teaching her how to be confident and helping her to realize just how beautiful and appealing she already was.

Though there was plenty of heat to the story, I didn't feel like it focused on the sex too much. The romance and developing feelings between the characters was still what drove the story and made me want them to find their HEA. I was also glad that Kirby turned out to be a bit of a douche while Hale proves to be the one deserving of true love. I would definitely sign up for lessons with this Gentleman Mentor, if I wasn't married of course.

“You need to be punished for that little stunt you pulled earlier. Making my dick hard and swollen like that…” He makes a grunting sound of disapproval, and my pulse spikes. I can read the need written all over his features, in his tight posture. The need to punish me is flaring inside him, and that excites the fuck out of me. What’s happening to me?

“I’m sorry, sir.” I blink up at him, my eyes communicating my own need.

“What should we do to settle this?” His firm hands settle on my waist, making my belly twist with nerves.

Boldly, I reach down between us, my hand curling around the weight of his shaft, that even soft, is heavy in my hand. “I could take care of this,” I offer.

His eyes sink closed for a moment, and I feel him begin to harden against my palm. When he opens his eyes again, his perfect control is back. “Would you like that, pet?”

I nod. “Yes.” The idea of sinking to my knees before him and taking his heavy cock in my mouth makes me wet.
