Three years have passed since Dare Wilde walked out of Reagan McKinley's life. Three years of radio silence. Three years of regrets. But she’s not the same girl anymore. Now, at twenty-two, Reagan has big plans to change her life, and it all starts with a trip to Europe. Instead of heading into Harvard Law like her parents had planned, she’s crossed the ocean to follow her dreams in the art world. Her dreams. For once. A chance meeting in Paris brings Reagan and Dare face-to-face again, but is it serendipity...or penance? A chasm of unspoken hurt stands between them, but they can’t fight the passion they have for each other. And now that she’s found Dare again—the one person in this world who makes her feel whole—she doesn’t want to let go. Problem is, she may not have a choice. Two parts. One whole. Together...they’re out of control.

My Review:

At the end of Untamed (cover your eyes if you haven't read it yet SPOILER ALERT!!) Dare and Ree are at a crossroads and when her family, mainly her father, meddle in their lives the two are torn apart. After falling head over heels, completely devoted, GAGA in love with these two, the end of Untamed shocked me and left me whimpering. I had a sick feeling in my stomach when the final page ended but I had hope that things for this couple could get better, because they always get better before they get worse...right?

3 YEARS!!! 3 FUCKING YEARS is when Out Of Control picks back up! I wanted to vomit in my hands and eat it again! So Ree and Dare had some issues to overcome in the first installment but there's more turmoil to come for the star crossed lovers. After Reagan was rushed to the E.R. for an overdose I had hoped her pill addiction would be put behind her after such a scare. She's hiding a past trauma that has driven her to her destructive behavior that is thinly veiled but you get the impression it was sexual in nature. Plus her parents are the underlying cause of most of her issues. Reagan has spent the three years since Dare ran off trying to break the hold her parents have on her and when she gets the opportunity to work in Paris she takes it and spreads her wings. While I was happy she finally decided to do something for herself it ripped my heart out that it took so long for her to snap out of it. I'm not the kind of girl who lets people tell me what to do, hell even my own mother had a tough time with it when I was growing up, so I couldn't understand that aspect of her family dynamic. Then again I didn't grow up with a controlling and wealthy father who was running for public office so I digress. When she arrives in Paris to look for new artists she finds exactly what she was looking for when Dare shows up with his work on the streets of the beautiful city. Blessed reunion right? WRONG!

See Dare has sent three years angry at Reagan for choosing her family over him when what they had was so strong in the short time they knew each other. He's spent all the time away from her trying to fuck her out of his system. Normally I hate man whores but I love Dare so much and while it did break my heart he was so slutty I wanted to hug him. I guess men handle their heartbreak in a way that makes them feel more manly. Although I would think meaningless sex would make you feel worse, apparently Dare don't care. Hur Hur that rhymed. So Dare is in Paris painting and pursuing his art with his family safe back in California until Reagan comes back into his life. I was so mad at him for just leaving when Reagan chose to protect him by denying their relationship to her father and ran away. Out Of Control was painful to get through because while Reagan is trying to make amends and prove to Dare she wants only him, he's rubbing all his sexual conquests in her face. Despite how much I love this guy there were times when I wanted to punch him in the junk. The stubborn prick fought against any kind of apology Reagan had to offer and treated her like shit at times. When he gets the opportunity to showcase his art but only his nudes Reagan offers herself up to be painted so he can have his time in the sun.

Out Of Control isn't just about Ree and Dare reconciling and getting back together. It's a rough look at how when trust is broken between a couple it's difficult to let go of old hurts. With Ree desperately trying to get Dare to understand her and give her another chance and him fighting every step of the way it's only a matter of time before their chemistry, the incredible combustible chemistry experienced in Untamed, is unleashed and the two can't stay away from each other. You can't snuff out such an intense connection between two people and even though things might look up for them briefly, they still have a lot to overcome to be together. Her family is still a big threat and with another major event leading to a cliff hanger ending. Reese and Green keep you dangling by their bait hook for the next chapter in this couple's story. Ugh! These books came out of the clear blue for me and now I can't stop! It's like Lay's potato chips, you can't have just one. Thankfully there are several more serials left to come because I need more of these two people in my life.
