She’s living her dream…

Kylie Ryans is the biggest thing to come out of Nashville since, well, since Trace Corbin. With a hit album and a powerful label behind her, she appears to be the girl who has it all.

But appearances can be deceiving.

Fresh out of rehab, Trace Corbin is ready to take on the world. Just not the girl he walked away from. Because if there’s one thing he knows for certain, it’s that the people you love are the one’s who have the power to destroy you.

As their worlds collide, they’ll have to make the ultimate choice. Follow their dreams, or give it all up for love.

They say love conquers all, but for Kylie and Trace, it just might wreck everything they’ve worked for.

Globug's Take

Most of have probably been a girl in love at some point. The thing about love is it can make us see in technicolor or it can blind us completely. It can make you feel bliss or the worst pain you'll ever experience. Unfortunately, loving one person usually leads to all the feels, good and bad. Kylie and Trace are perfect example of this.

I could understand at the end of Girl On Tour that Trace needed to get help for his alcohol addiction but it was maddening that Gretchen had to go with him. I mean I'm all for her getting help too for the sake of her son but Trace could have at least prepared Kylie with a heads up. Now at the start of Girl in Love it's been nine months since he walked away. Kylie has done her best to keep moving forward. Despite her broken heart she has an album that has gone platinum. She's getting to fulfill her dreams of a music career but what good is it if she has no one to share it with. Her wicked step mother continues to be a source pain as she tries to mooch off of Kylie's success and dishonor the memory of Kylie's father.

What I don't understand is why someone from Trace's team of people or even his sisters have not kept Kylie up to date with the truth about Trace. What we have here is a failure to communicate that is not resolved until Kylie and Trace lose almost everything. I totally blame Gretchen. She could everyone a lot of heart ache if she had just come clean with her side of the story. But nooooooo, that selfish bitch just sat back and watched as Kylie and Trace's lives fell apart.

At least Kylie has her best friend Lulu and now Mia and Lily from her recent tour to help keep her from drowning in depression. I was confused and frustrated by her relationship with Steven. He's easy to love but I couldn't figure out for the longest time if he and Kylie were actually having sex. That had potential to just ruin everything for me. Consider yourself lucky Caisey Quinn. You dodged a big one this time.

I love that Kylie and Trace weren't the only ones finding love this time around. I'm hoping it means there will be character spin-off books. Quinn closes the Kylie Ryans series with warm and tingly HEA. I mean seriously, I had chills reading the last paragraph. Thanks Caisey. Trust me, this is a must read series.
