Release Day Blitz: The Wild One (Forever Wild #3) by Magan Vernon {Review + Final Books Cover Reveal}

Welcome to the release day launch of the third installment in the Forever Wild series THE WILD ONE by Magan Vernon. We are extremely excited to be taking part in not only the release day blitz but also the unveiling of the final three book covers in the series! Check out Hootie's review for The Wild One as well as the graphic below with the new covers!

I get asked a lot, What is a serialized novel? A serialized novel is basically like a TV show. It’s broken up into episodes. Each story is about fifty pages long, perfect to read in one or two sittings. Each installment will come out every three weeks with six of them total in a season. Each episode will have its own story that will add to the big picture. The basis of One Wild Night is that Valerie Wilder wakes up married to a stripper in Vegas. Each episode follows that story with little plot twists and turns in between.

The Wild One is the third book in the Forever Wild Serial. (This is a six part series with one book releasing every 3 weeks) Wes never considered himself a lucky man - until one wild night in Vegas that ended with a marriage to Valerie Wilder. She doesn’t consider herself as lucky, and gives him thirty days to sign the divorce papers, forgetting their marriage every existed. There’s just one problem. He’s fallen hard for Valerie. Wes loves everything about the girl he married by mistake, except the fact that he doesn’t feel worthy of her - especially when hedge funder Max Green keeps coming back in the picture. Wes can’t compete with the rich and powerful man who also wants Valerie as his own, but he doesn’t want to lose her. To prove his love for Valerie and save their marriage, Wes is going to fight hard for the woman he loves, putting his wild side behind him to be the man she needs. Before it’s too late.

My Review:

Wes and Valerie have already been through so much in just a few short days since their quickie Vegas wedding. Now that they are back in Chicago where Valerie can think clearly she battles herself internally about filing for divorce or actually making it work with Wes. Making things even more difficult Valerie gets a blast from the past when her ex Max shows up that causes her to question her heart. Wes is determined to win Valerie over despite the fact that she seems determined to push him away. When Max makes him an offer he seemingly can't refuse it's not just Valerie rethinking the marriage.

One thing about these serials is that the anticipation of what these two character will do is amped up so high I find myself borderline frustrated with waiting for each one to come out so I can see what choices Val and Wes make. I have fallen so much in love with them and their journey I can't imagine how badly it would suck if it didn't work out for them. They are both so stubborn, with Valerie not feeling like she's the right type in both body and personality for Wes wanting to fall back into old patterns. Wes is still somewhat of a mystery. We haven't gotten to see much of what has driven him this far. He's had some issues with family and trying to follow his dreams but I'm hoping another layer to him will be uncovered. One thing is for certain the chemistry between these two just keeps getting better making me fall more and more under their spells.

One of the biggest surprises in the serials has been the part Valerie's roommate Paige is starting to play in their relationship. I was worried about her becoming a wedge but she shows her true colors on this one. She comes across as a stone COLD bitch but she's not as bad as originally thought, especially when she jumps in to help Wes. With the added stress of Max coming back into the picture trying to stake his claim I am even more anxious to see how this all plays out. I highly recommend this little series if you love quick reads that hook you and characters that you can relate to.

Favorite Quote:

"Fuck happily ever afters and preconceived notions of what's right. I want to make our own story. One that doesn't need to have some storybook romance that starts out with first dates and roses, but if you want roses and dates, I'll do that. Hell, I'll grow a whole damn garden for you. Just give me a chance, Valerie. That's all I can ask for." ARC 52%
