Oh my my my..... where to begin? Well book one of course! You've got to meat the man, the legend, Braydon Kincaid in Working It (and yes I meant to misspell meet). Good lawd does he work it. He's a mega sexy male model superstar. Braydon has a reputation with the ladies. Yeah he wants easy fun and lots of it with no commitment and with his looks he can get any flavor lady candy he wants. It's easy to believe that's all he's looking for from women but that's not who he really is.
Ellie see's the real Braydon. Okay, so she doesn't see it at first but that's because they were constantly bickering with each other. But think about it. It is so much fun having snarky banter with a good looking guy. With their best friends Emmy and Ben getting married they are forced to spend time together. Neither of them can deny their chemistry but Ellie is reluctant to believe he could be interested in her. She's a real catch though. She's a super smart biologist with a good job and a witty sassy personality, a lot like me really, just kidding, i'm not a biologist. Point is, she can't see a relationship ever happening with Braydon.
Braydon proposes they have a friends with benefits arrangement. Emmy hasn't had a great history in the relationship department but she's not one to take commitment lightly either. She reluctantly decides to take Braydon up on his offer. After all, she could learn a few things from his sexual genius. What she doesn't expect is just how sweet and attentive he is. Why is he so against a committed relationship? Not even his best friend Ben knows the answer to that. Braydon may spend a lot of time in the spot light but he's incredibly private.
There are lots of moments of insane passion with the sweet and tender sprinkled in and topped with a what-in-the-hell is up with this crazy girl Katrina! So there's a reason Braydon avoids relationships like the plague and it's an ex-girlfriend. When Ellie is no longer willing to just be a fuck buddy, Braydon is torn. He's not scared so much of history repeating itself as he is worried about history showing up again. I was really thinking there was going to be a fatal attraction moment. Neither Braydon or Ellie can bring themselves to agree to all or nothing and "just friends" is just as hard to accept. He has her whole heart but struggles to open his to her completely.
Braydon finally breaks but it may be too late. It's another case of curiosity leading to relationship ruin and Ellie just couldn't resist digging into Braydon's past to try and figure him out. Honesty is essential for any type of relationship to be successful. There's not way I'm telling you how the author gets them out of this pickle. It's wonderfully unexpected. Honestly, I suspected it a little but not everyone can be gifted with my insight.(Sorry, i'm so full of shit tonight). But that's where I'm leaving you. You have to read the series. It's one of my favorites by Kendall Ryan.
