My Review:

I was really excited to get this book for review because I am a big fan of Probsts' writing. I loved her Marriage Bargain series so when I saw she was writing a new series of books I couldn't wait to pick it up. Searching For Someday was flirty, fun, sexy, sweet and romantic all in one!

So Kate is a matchmaker. Not just any matchmaker though, she has what her family considers a gift in that she can touch two people and determine if they are soul mates or not. She doesn't have the same feelings about her gift because she's lost several potential dates to other people due to her touch ability. Always the perpetual bachelorette she can't seem to find what she's looking for. When Slade Montgomery walks into her office in order to protect his baby sister from Kate's matchmaking business the universe throws her a curve ball. Trying to find a match for Slade is a piece of cake for her until she accidentally touches him and feels "it". That spark she gets when she knows she's found someones soul mate. The only problem is he isn't what she wants. AT ALL. Denying what she knows deep down and Slade's many advances despite her attempts to hook him up with other women, Kate faces losing something she has relied on to run her business.

Kate was the typical laid back, independent young woman just trying to run a business and live her life. I really enjoyed her character. She wasn't overly annoying as most females can be. She was sassy and had an inner vulnerability about her that made me want to protect her. I usually relate to women who are strong and tough but Kate proved I can also connect with a woman who is mild mannered and kind of quiet, especially around men. She's been so busy finding love for everyone else that she hasn't taken any time to really find what she wants. I loved the idea of her being able to touch a couple and tell if they were meant to be together. This made for some interesting scenes especially when she was out on a date with someone and ended up losing out to someone else when her gift acted up. She's had some bad relationships in the past that has made her kind of retreat into herself and that was something I could absolutely identify with. She needed someone to break down her defenses and open her up a bit and Slade was that perfect person.

Ah Slade. He wasn't a guy I liked all that much at first. Being a divorce lawyer he was very controlled and liked his life in order in every sense. When he first comes into the picture his intentions are to find a flaw in Kate's business model so his sister doesn't get hurt. SO yeah he comes across as a giant penis wrinkle but the more he spends time learning about her business and seeing how her and her friends run things he becomes a little more likable. He wasn't expecting Kate to get under his skin and his outlook on love and forever has been skewed by his own nasty divorce not to mention the cases he works on a daily basis has surely given him reason to stay away from emotions. I loved his interactions with Kate even though he tried so hard to keep his feelings in check it became more difficult the more he learned about her. They had explosive chemistry and the more they denied it the hotter it seemed to get between them. Watching Kate slowly open him up made me like him a whole lot more than I originally did. Plus it didn't hurt that he genuinely cared about her disabled dog Robert. You have to love a man who loves dogs!

I was pleasantly caught off guard by the fact that this turned out to feature some of my favorite characters from Probsts' previous series. Specifically a character named Wolfe who captured so much of my attention in The Marriage Merger, the last book in the Marriage Bargain series, that I was hoping he would get his own story. From the hints given in Searching For Someday I have a distinct feeling he will most certainly get his and oh how juicy it will be! I love when characters from one series I love cross over and we get a look at what they have been up to. In a way it's almost like their story isn't over, even if it's only a brief look. 

Searching For Someday was a romantic roller coaster ride between Kate and Slade. Stories of opposites attracting remains one of my favorite types of stories to read and there are no characters more opposite than the free spirit Kate and the stuffy divorce lawyer Slade. I really enjoyed all the ups and downs between these two and watching them fight their feelings was what made this such a fun read for me. The cover says this is a "Sparkling new series" and I have to agree 100%. The start of this new series has me very intrigued and in a holding pattern of delicious anticipation for what is next to come. This is definitely a book you will enjoy if you like sexy romance, hilarious characters and a fun story line that will keep you guessing from one page to the next.
