Sweet Surrendering {Teaser, Review, & Giveaway}

Sweet Surrendering by Chelsea M. Cameron

Genre: Adult Contemporary Romance

She’s his boss. He doesn’t care. This office isn’t big enough for the two of them…

When Rory Clarke ends up hiring the guy she spent one steamy night with to be her administrative assistant, she's determined to keep things professional.

Lucas Blaine has other plans for her. He wants Rory, and it’s hard to resist his stunning blue eyes, chin dimple and the way he fills out a suit. Everywhere she looks, there he is, giving her a panty-melting smile and pulling her away for the most amazing (and satisfying) sex she’s ever had in her life.

What starts off as one sexual encounter turns into multiple trysts in and out of the office and the lines she’d tried to draw so carefully are blurring. But the closer they get, the more Rory realizes that there are things about Lucas she doesn’t know, things he’s hiding from her. She’ll have to decide if she can surrender to her feelings or get out while she still can

Prepare yourself. Cameron jumps right in with the first paragraph that demands your attention. Rory Clarke is already near the top of the corporate ladder with plans of one day heading the company. In walks Lucas Blaine with his good looks and flirty dirty ways and Rory was tempted to leave work for the day to spend some quality time with "Mr. Buzzy". But Rory takes her job seriously and puts it above her own needs to release a  little tension.

Rory lives with her best friend Sloan and they are often joined by two other girl friends for nights out. I loved the closeness of these girls and the banter between friends. I love the idea of best friends that can tell each other every detail of everything they experience without judgement. I don't think those friendships happen often enough. We all need friends that will encourage us to go home with a hottie like Lucas. It gets really hot when they get tangled up together in the back of the taxi cab. The chemistry gets near combustible when they get to bed. Piercings anyone? Yeah, these lead characters like their piercings.

Now Rory has a dilemma. She really needs a new assistant and her Board Members are pushing for her to hire Mr. Blaine. How is she supposed to work professionally with the guy when all she can think about is very unprofessional things to do with him. Like these suggestions from her girl friends:

"You should ask him if he'll put his file in your credenza!"
"Defrag your lady system"
"Put his spam in your inbox"

He earned the name "sexcretary" and "ass-istant".  A night with Lucas is like a Lays chip, you can't have just one.(haha) Despite her best efforts, Rory finds herself falling for Lucas but who is this guy really. He has secrets he refuses to share with Rory. Maybe he is too good to be true. And will his secrets lead to heartache for Rory? You're going to love reading to find out. Oh and as side note, I love that the author wrote Rory's parents to be loving and in a healthy relationship. I'm not seeing enough happy family characters lately. I loved Sweet Surrendering and would definitely recommend it.

  1. Hahaha I love that quote!

    Now that I'm older and have had my share of catty females, I do value the importance of a loyal gal pal.

  2. I love office romance stories! Looks cute.
