Olivia Townsend’s wealthy cousin Marissa had everything a girl could ask for—a great job, a privileged life, and all the friends she wanted. Or, at least, all the friends money could buy. But one case of mistaken identity has turned her privileged world upside down. An abduction gone wrong lands her right in the lap of the sexiest, most dangerous man she’s ever met. To Marissa, he’s an enigma, but one to whom she’s irresistibly, inexplicably drawn. With him comes a new world of freedom and passion, of dark shadows and dangerous secrets, a world where nothing is what it seems—except for the blind passion that Marissa can’t escape—or maybe even survive.

My Take:
I have been waiting on Nash and Marissa's story since he helped rescue her in Up To me.  With Nash being the resurrected twin of sexy Cash Davenport and Marissa being the cast iron bitch from the first two books I was salivating for this one hardcore!

Marissa and Nash were two people who seemed to have a lot in common from the get go. Both were dealing with issues externally and internally that have shaped them into the people they have become. Marissa grew up spoiled, rich and entitled and never cared about anyone but herself. Nash was dealt a shitty hand having watched his mother be killed in front of his eyes then having to spend his impressionable years with criminals he has become exactly what he had to grow up around. A hardened thug. The journey these two embarked on was one of growth, healing and discovering who you are when you strip away everything that doesn't matter.

For Marissa she finally started to see everything she valued before she was kidnapped wasn't anything worth losing. I was pleased that Marissa had a change of heart in this book. I hated the way she treated Olivia and didn't really like her all that much in the first books. She really matured in this one and watching her grow was one just one of the things I enjoyed about this book. Of course she had a tendency to be a little whiny and I was honestly surprised she didn't retain just a little of her spitfire personality. There were times when I would have liked her to be a little more assertive with Nash instead of just wilting to his demands. I understand how she felt about him but I just wanted to see her keep some of her previous fire. On the other hand she proved just how much she matured by realizing her old nature and fought to overcome the way she was. She could have easily started playing games and rubbing Nash's nose in the fact that she could live without him but she understood what he needed and met his needs head on.

Nash was every bit the sexy, tormented and angry bad boy and lived up to his reputation. I could really feel his anger at his situation. Having to watch his brother live the life he should have had and having to remain a hidden secret shaped his anger into something he used to survive the only way he knew how. My heart broke for Nash and his situation. I know both brothers lost their mother but Nash suffered the most. His thirst for revenge is what drives him every day hoping to find his mother's killer. Getting caught up in a relationship isn't something he wanted and when Marissa gets under his skin he doesn't know what to do with himself. Nash infuriated me several times with his back and forth feelings for Marissa. He was almost too angry at times and I found myself screaming at him to stop being such a hardened asshole! His growth in this book was probably the most rewarding having watched him struggle throughout with feelings of worthlessness.

The subplot with finding the people responsible for ruining the twins lives was pretty intricate and woven into the story subtly. I loved the way Leighton didn't overwhelm you with too many details all at once, but chose to reveal little by little in order for you to keep up with everything. Nash and Marissa along with Cash and another ally have to bring down some ruthless thugs in deep with the Russian mafia. Thankfully everything was handled with not much drama and things started to look up for the twins finally. Sometimes the twin switch up with Cash and Nash was confusing so I recommend paying attention when you dive into this book. I was really pleased with the way things worked out and the way the story wrapped up was very romantic and beautiful. It was nice to see all the supporting characters again and watch them settle into their lives. Nothing is hotter than a set of sexy twins who know their way around a woman so if you enjoy books with hot guys, intriguing plots and emotional romance then  give this series your full attention!

Quotes:
"I could make you forgot everything else. I can make sure that you feel nothing but pleasure, that you can't think past what I'm doing to your body, what I'm making you feel. With my hands," he says, pulling his fingers from my hair and trailing them down my arm to my hip. "With my lips," he continues, moving his mouth across my cheek. "With my tongue," he whispers as he spreads wet heat across my bottom lip with the tip of the very tongue of which he speaks. "And I promise, you'll love every second of it." ARC 34%

There will always be a hole in me, one that no one else can fill. And that's the cold, bitter truth. The harsh reality of falling in love with a man who doesn't want to be held and who can't be tamed or contained. The thing is, I never really wanted to tame him or contain him. I just wanted to be a part of his freedom, to fly with him. I wanted to be more like him, not try to make him more like me. I'm trying to escape me, not drag someone into my hell. ARC 75%
