Book Description:
Three estranged brothers.
One runaway girl.

Sweet and sexy Noah soars as Spartans’ basketball shooting star. Overly protective, bad boy Nathan has beaten the devil and believes he’s invincible. And angry and bitter Jake cannot move past losing his unit in Afghanistan. After suffering personal tragedies, the three brothers barely speak to one another.

Until River.

When she runs away from her abusive foster home, she crash-lands into Noah’s arms. She should feel safe with him, but she is attracted to guys more broken than she. And his brooding brothers Nathan and Jake wait patiently to catch her when she falls. Her relationship with each jeopardizes the precarious balance of their troubled family, and she will either mend their wounds or break their hearts.

*Kiss the Boys is psychological romantic suspense, containing explicit sex. This is the second book in the Lost Girls Collection. The first book is Blackout (steamy psychological thriller) by Chris Myers. Each of these books is a standalone.

Excerpt:
Everything is bitter, the cold outside, the taste of blood in my mouth, and the sting of his belt. My foster father screams at me as he chases me out the door and through the blinding snow. The dark night doesn’t hide my tears for my ex-boyfriend Ashe lying cold and stiff on the concrete of an abandoned building where I left him alone.

I still can’t believe I just left him, but what was I supposed to do? The police would somehow blame me for Ashe’s death. I’ve already had a few scrapes with the law stealing food for me and my half-starved foster sister Mia. She’s only six, but so far, Schafe hasn’t laid a hand on her or the others, just me. The other foster kids fend for themselves and stay out of his way. I'm the only dumb one who provokes him. I can’t help it. He’s an asshole, and I’ll be damned if I’ll continuously allow him to treat me like shit.

She licks those luscious lips, slightly parting them. I want to taste them. I want to dive right in, even when I know it’s quicksand.

That same look of loneliness and pain open up to me. She blinks a few times and lures me into her with her expectant gaze. Her pull on me is strong. I close my eyes to resist, but her feminine scent overpowers me.

When I open my eyes, she chews on her lower lip, waiting on me to do something. I’ve been attracted to angels before but not like this. Ever since I first laid eyes on her, I haven’t really stopped thinking about River. My mind has worked over every word, every breath, and every curve of her body, committing them to memory. Last night, I used my hands to feel and carve her depth and shape her tragic beauty into stone.

I use my knee to spread her legs, cloaked in black stockings, and slip between them. Her skirt hitches up, and I know she’s receptive to me, even though she wore the skirt for Noah. I don’t like that she did that for him. I cannot lose her, and I can’t even explain why.

I tilt her chin back to expose the soft, creamy flesh of her neck. Her breathing increases, and I descend to those succulent lips. My tongue dives into her mouth, and she flicks hers against mine.

She moans and returns my kiss, deep and filled with longing. God, I want her. No angel has ever come onto me this strong, and I’ve never been with any woman who is younger than me. I normally take my time, not only for me but mostly for them.

Release Day with excerpt and giveaway!!

We're celebrating the release of THE HARD COUNT by Ginger Scott! Check out the excerpt and buy your copy today!

THE HARD COUNT
Mature YA Contemporary Romance-Stand Alone
Scheduled to release: July 15, 2016

BLURB:
Nico Medina’s world is eleven miles away from mine. During the day, it’s a
place where doors are open—where homes are lived in, and neighbors love.
But when the sun sets, it becomes a place where young boys are afraid,
where eyes watch from idling cars that hide in the shadows and wicked
smoke flows from pipes.

West End is the kind of place that people survive. It buries them—one at a
time, one way or another. And when Nico was a little boy, his mom always
told him to run.

I’m Reagan Prescott—coach’s daughter, sister to the prodigal son, daughter
in the perfect family.
Life on top.
Lies.
My world is the ugly one. Private school politics and one of the best high
school football programs in the country can break even the toughest souls.
Our darkness plays out in whispers and rumors, and money and status trump
all. I would know—I’ve watched it kill my family slowly, strangling us for
years.

In our twisted world, a boy from West End is the only shining light.
Quarterback.
Hero.
Heart.
Good.
I hated him before I needed him.
I fell for him fast.
I loved him when it was almost too late.

When two ugly worlds collide, even the strongest fall. But my world…it
hasn’t met the boy from West End.

EXCERPT:
“You’re mad at me,” he says, his fingers sliding to mine, his thumb covering the top of my knuckles while the rest of his hands hold my palms.

“I’m not mad at you, Nico. I was busy. I have things that don’t have anything to do with you,” I say, still fighting.

He chuckles.

“You’re still mad at me,” he says, and I glance up just enough to see his smile, all lopsided and perfect, the dimple that he gets when he’s right in its place. I hate him so much.

“Why would I be made at you,” I sigh, acting as best as I can while my mind races through all of the reasons I am mad at Nico Medina—not a single one of them really his fault.

I meet his challenge, staring back at him, forcing the stern expression to remain on my face, while he looks back at me with perfect lips curved up a hint on one side and unfair eyes that act as target sights. I’m caught in them, and they will not let go.

“You’re mad because of some homecoming dance,” he says, and I laugh once because…fuck!

“Admit it,” he smirks.

“Nico,” I begin, finding it hard to even say his name. “I could care less who you want to go to some stupid school dance with.”

“Couldn’t care less,” he says quickly. I tilt my head and pinch my brow. “You said you could care less, but really…you mean you couldn’t.”

I jerk my hands away and huff.

“Could you?” he says, his hands back in his pockets, his head tilted, angled so I can’t ignore it.

I push my tongue in my cheek and shake my head, glancing away, but always coming back to his gaze. His stupid, perfect, eyes and face that I want to put my hand on. The damned lock of his hair that falls forward when his head leans forward, his tongue caught in his teeth. His kissable lips that I felt in a dream and watched speak in class. His arrogance. His confidence.

“Gah!” I exhale, shaking my head and focusing on the bricked wall behind him. He stands there with one foot against the wall, his back leaning into it, so comfortable seeing me so uncomfortable.

“You make me so mad!” My eyes slide to his, and his lip ticks higher.

“I knew you were mad at me,” he nods.

I stretch my arms out wide, my eyes wider, and I stare up to the ceiling with another shake of my head.

“Fine!” I shout. “Yes, you got me. I’m mad at you! Can I go do class now, please?”

Nico snickers, and I cross my arms over my chest. He pushes forward from the wall, taking a few steps toward me. On instinct, I take one back, but not far enough from his reach. He reaches for my hand again, and I hug myself tighter, tucking my fingers under each arm for protection. I’m throwing a fit now, but I’m this far in, there really isn’t any way to undo it.

Nico holds my elbows when he’s unable to get to my hands, and realizing how ridiculous I would look spinning out of his hold, I give in and let him. His touch is gentle and warm, and I wish I could just get over myself and take his hands back in mine. But I’m scared. My bottom lip shakes with nerves. Nico’s eyes glance at it, so I pull it into my teeth. I want to hide every weakness from him, but eventually I’ll have to curl up inside myself. I have too many.

“Why are you mad at me, Reagan?”

He says my name, and the word falls from his lips soft and sweet. No judgment, no challenge. My lip falls loose from the hold of my teeth and my eyes flutter shut for a long blink. I open again to find him waiting, still looking at me.

“I don’t know,” I say, with a small shake of my head.

“But you are,” he says, and I nod with the same slight movement, sucking in my bottom lip and breathing through my nose.

“Yeah,” I say, my lip falling away and my eyes only able to look at his cheek.

I’m holding myself tighter than I ever have, my fingers actually digging into my sides, my nails rough against my skin through the fabric of my gray Cornwall sweatshirt. Nico doesn’t flinch once. His eyes stay on mine when I give in, and his expression doesn’t shift from the gentle, sweet one he’s held.

His right hand lets go of my elbow, moving to the few strands of hair resting against my forehead, falling over one eye. Nico takes them with his thumbs, moving them behind my ears, his eyes watching his movement then settling back on mine.

“You’ve worn your hair down ever since I said I liked it,” he says.

I breathe in long and deep, letting myself feel this moment—all of it. I have worn my hair down. I did it hoping he would touch it, but never once actually thinking he would.

“That’s how I knew,” he says, and my forehead crinkles. He smiles on one side, repeating the gesture and moving the long wave of blonde hair from my face again. “That’s how I knew I was more than just some guy you wanted on your dad’s football team.”

Title: Love So Tempting (Lawson Brothers #4)
Age Group: Adult
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: August 18, 2015
Cover Designer: Lindee Robinson Photography

Book Description:
Prim and proper beauty queen Lemon McCoy is at her wit’s end when one night of passion leaves her pregnant by Jessamine’s favorite ladies man, Tristan Lawson. Forced to turn to her childhood tormentor in her time of need, she convinces Tristan to marry her to keep the gossip in their small town at bay.

Marine turned hometown librarian Tristan Lawson has secretly loved Lemon McCoy for years but they can’t seem to be around each other without trading insults. When Lemon finally spends the night with him, it’s a dream come true, and he hopes, the start of something more. But the very next morning they are back to their bickering ways that forces the two apart. Until Lemon confesses that she’s pregnant with his baby, giving him a second chance he never expected.

Although Tristan agrees to a marriage of convenience, he is confident he can show Lemon they are right for each other. But can Lemon trust him with her heart, or will their past be too much to overcome?

Excerpt:
“I want a husband.”

Jealousy surged, white hot in its intensity. “I’m not going to help you with that,” he said flatly.

Her eyes narrowed. “Why would you, Tristan? It’s only your baby, too. “ Abruptly, she stood. “I don’t why I thought you’d agree to marry me.”

“Wait,” he shouted, and she froze. “You want me to marry you?”

“Unfortunately—yes.”

“Me—Tristan Lawson.”

“Who else would I marry?”

He almost shrugged. “Lemon, you have to admit that this is a bit unorthodox.”

“I know we don’t have the same opinion on things,” she said with a grimace, “but I thought, even though we have our differences, that you would help a lady in her time of need.”

“Help a lady…” He let his words trail off. Marry her. Marry Lemon. Never in his wildest dreams would he have imagined his life would come to this—a baby and marriage to the one woman who hated him.

“Either you can help me out or not, but I’d like an answer.”

“Yes,” he said, and her eyes widened.

“Oh.”

“I guess you didn’t expect me to agree, huh?”

“When have we ever agreed on anything?” she pointed out.

True enough. Except… “Six weeks ago, we agreed on a lot of things.”

Her cheeks pinkened. “I know what happened six weeks ago,” she said tightly. “I’ll thank you for being a gentleman and not bringing it up again.”

He chuckled, but it was humorless. “When did I ever give you the impression that I was ever a gentleman?”

“Aren’t I the luckiest lady in Jessamine to soon have you as my husband,” she said with a sniff.

“You sure as hell are.”

She rolled her eyes. “Wonderful. If you’ll excuse me, I have lunch plans with Skylar.”

“I thought we had plans for lunch.”

“The sight of you makes me want to puke, and I need the extra calories,” she said primly. “I’ll give you a call.”

“You do that, but don’t wait another six weeks. I want to be involved in everything, Lemon.”

With a nod, she stood. “Good-bye, Tristan.”

Wasn’t he the luckiest son of a gun to walk the earth to get a third chance with her? he thought as she left his office.

Hadn’t he been beating himself up for weeks over the way he’d allowed her to walk away from him? Sure, he had gotten rid of Whitney as soon as possible—after informing her that their on again/ off again relationship was permanently off, but that hadn’t solved his problem with Lemon.

Hell, he hadn’t gone after her. He should have. He knew where she lived, where she worked, and where she went to church every Sunday.

The last time they’d come anywhere close to this, he’d allowed her family to come between them. Specifically, her sister, Apple, and while Lemon might have only written to him out of pity, he was damn sure her sisters—both Apple and Cherry—had put their spin on things.

Only he wasn’t sure how exactly. Seven years ago, he had been so puffed up on his ego and pride that he’d walked away from her.

From that kiss.

Things between them were still just as hot and sweet. Still just a volatile. While permanence in their relationship, no matter how tenuous, was just in reach.
All he had to do was marry her.

Book Description:
All former Navy SEAL Mason Lawson craves is solitude. Unfortunately, his new neighbor won’t allow him the peace he so desperately needs. Between the traffic and the music, Mason is constantly on edge—not exactly what the doctor ordered for someone recovering from a bullet to the leg. However, when he finally has enough and confronts his neighbor, nothing can prepare him for how hot he’d get for the teacher next door.

Piano teacher, Skylar Jernigan, loves everything about the town of Jessamine—from the quaint Main Street shops to the people who own them. Unfortunately, once she’s chewed up and spit out by her sexy neighbor, Skylar begins to question her decision to move to a new town. Until, that is, she learns he’s suffering from a war wound and refuses to have anything to do with his family.

Now, Skylar is determined to help Mason recover—mentally, physically and socially—until he turns the tables and sets out to seduce Skylar right out of her meddling ways. Only seduction turns into something more and soon, Mason can’t stop looking for excuses to be with her. But when the Navy wants Mason to reenlist for a dangerous mission, will Skylar be too irresistible for him to leave?

Excerpt:
“I bought too many, so I thought I’d share the extras with you,” Skylar said. Her explanation sounded perfectly reasonable to her, even if her reason for being on Mason’s front porch was entirely unbelievable.

She had caved, faster than a sandcastle taking on high tide.

Mason stared at her as if he couldn’t quite comprehend what she was saying. “That’s a hell of a lot of crab for only being extra.”

“My eyes were bigger than my stomach.” She held out the large bag of crabs to him. “And I can’t resist a sale.”

He leaned against the doorframe, his light hair pulled back off his handsome face. She studied him for a minute, taking in his blue t-shirt and loose jeans. He was too skinny for the jeans, but the t-shirt stretched out rather nicely over his shoulders and the indentions on each side of his hips were not hard on the eyes at all.

“Anything else you can’t resist?” he asked and she jerked up her gaze, blushing hotly at being caught ogling him.

“Beer?” She held up the six-pack. “Fat Tire was on sale, too.”

He narrowed his sexy, blue eyes at her. “You’ve already eaten?”

She shook her head. “Not yet. I need to search for a recipe for the crabs I kept for myself. I’ve never cooked them before.” The crabs moved in the bag, and she almost dropped them. The cold had kept them immobile, but the longer she stood in the heat…the more awake they became.

Stepping to one side, he motioned for her to come inside. “Might as well eat with me. I already have a recipe,” he said as he closed the door behind her and started for the back of the house. Instead of using his cane, he limped as he walked and Bomber stayed at his side.

“I can just write it down,” she said, following him.

He tapped the side of his head. “Secret family recipe.”

She laughed. “But I’ll see what you use.”

“You won’t know the exact amounts and that’s important.”

Mason’s kitchen was huge, with stainless-steel appliances and more cabinets than anyone could ever need. In the center stood a large island with a prep sink and a butcher-block top.

“Really nice kitchen,” she said, admiring the wavy glass in the doors of the nearest cabinet.

“I like to cook.”

“You do?”

“I like to eat,” he said, as if that explained everything.

“Who doesn’t?” she replied.

“Lately, I haven’t.” He turned around and leaned against the counter. She set the bag of crabs in the sink and the beer on the island.

“Do your meds make your appetite go away?” They had for her dad, in those awful, final months. He’d practically wasted away to nothing. Maybe that was why she wanted to help Mason so badly. She didn’t want another person to just waste away, especially if she could help. Mason didn’t have cancer either.

He nodded stiffly. “You’re the first person to ask me that…besides my doctor.”

“The alcohol doesn’t help.” She wasn’t stupid. She’d seen the half-empty bottles and had smelled it on his breath. “It’s a good thing you exercise or you wouldn’t look like you do.”

She half expected him to take offense, but he only lifted a brow and said, “How do I look exactly?”

“Like a man who used to take care of his body.”

His lips thinned. “How is the air working in your house?”

“Like a freezer.”

“Good thing?”

“Very good thing. I actually wore pajamas to bed last night,” she said. “But I’m going to have to bring you a lot of noise-cancelling headphones in order to pay you back. They had to replace the entire thing.”

“What did you used to wear?” he asked with a grin that almost made her forget her own name.

He would focus on that. “Nothing. I mean…” She narrowed her eyes at him. “Don’t try to change the subject. I will pay you back.”

“Crab and beer are a good start.” He pushed away from the front of the island and opened a deep drawer, pulling out a large pot and handing it to her. “Fill this halfway up with water and put it on the stove to boil. Gas burners okay for you?”

“Yes. I have one, too.” She took the pot and filled it, then set it on the stove and turned on the gas while he poured in a dash of vinegar and sprinkled in some spices. “What’s next?”

“We fix the sides—I’m thinking fries and hushpuppies.”

She glanced at the crabs and shivered. They were moving more vigorously now. “What about them?” She whispered the last word.

“We’ll get to them in a minute.” He nodded to the right. “There’s a bag of potatoes in the pantry. Get those out and we’ll make fries.”

Thankful for something else to do besides worry about the stupid crabs, she hopped right to it. “I guess this is as good of time as any to confess that I’ve never cooked live seafood before.”

“Figured as much.”

She glanced up into his blue eyes. “I can do whatever I need to in order to cook them.”

“I’ll take care of the crab.”

How could something so simple, and about cooking of all things, make her want to swoon?

He touched her face, starting at her cheek and ending up at her lips. His thumb brushed her mouth. The smell of liquor wafted over her. “You’ve been drinking.” So that explained his easygoing mood. It wasn’t her presence. “Did you take your meds with it?”

“Always do before bed.”

She frowned. “That’s not safe, Mason.”

“You’re worried about me?”

Instead of answering, she nodded.

“Why?”

“Because we’re neigh—”

“Don’t.” His thumb made another pass, and she shivered again. This time in pleasure and not fear. His touch was making her weak in the knees. “The real reason, Skylar.”

“Because when I saw you on the ground, I thought that if anyone needed love, it was you.

“Not that I’m in love with you. I meant a neighborly type of love. Love for fellow man type of love,” she added. “What would Jesus do love.”
