Review Deep Blue Eternity

Deep Blue Eternity
by Natasha Boyd.
Due for release on March 26, 2015

Livvy is on the run. And she’s escaped to the one place nobody will ever find her.

But the isolated cottage isn’t empty. Her refuge is home to a troubled stranger, Tom, there for reasons of his own.

In the intimacy of the abandoned cottage, and the remote wilderness of the island, the electrifying connection between them is impossible to ignore. Both running from their histories and shielding dark secrets, their pasts catch up with them and collide in an unimaginable way.

Deep emotions and powerful chemistry face a painful battle with the tangle of lies, and scars of the past. When the truth emerges, hearts will be shattered.
 Globug's Review

After reading Boyd's first series Eversea, I was so anxious to read Deep Blue Eternity.  I quickly realized that this was a much deeper and darker story than I was expecting.

Olivia is seventeen and running to find solitude and freedom. She obviously feels she won't be missed. She's worked hard to avoid the attention of those around her. Now it's been six years since her older sister Abby, that she adored, died and Livvy has only one place to run. Her Gran's house has only good memories from her childhood and now it belongs to her. She wasn't expecting a gorgeous stranger named Tom to be living there.

Tom knew at some point that Olivia would show up. He has a history with Livvy's dead sister and knows more about what has her running away than he wants to admit. His secrets and guilt begin to grow everyday they spend together in their little cottage on the isolated island in South Carolina.

Because of the location the story takes place there's a black magic/voo doo undertone throughout the story that adds a spooky vibe to things. You know Livvy is haunted by her past but could her sister also be haunting her or trying to get her a message from beyond the grave.

Both characters are hiding from their past but each day has them drawing closer to one another. Tom's secrets are bound to hurt Livvy and the longer he waits to share with her why he's conflicted about his growing feelings for her, the more likely it is that he will surely lose her. And your heart will break as she comes to realize she's in love with Tom and opens her heart to him and he now has to tell why she can't love him. I was sick reading about the horrible reality Livvy admits to living through. Again that spiritual vibe comes back into play as Livvy fights for her life. And I have to mention I love that her little cat plays a huge part as her hero.

The last ten percent of the book was difficult for me to read as all of Livvy and Tom's truths are revealed. The beauty of this story is in the healing of their very broken hearts. The intimacy they share at the end is so off the charts hot and beautiful at the same time. So while the subject matter was not what I was expecting from Boyd, it was a beautiful and emotional experience reading it. I absolutely recommend it.

"When I was younger, in school, high school, I was asked to describe what I thought love was. And that's how I thought of love. Blue and infinite, clear but deep, where no man could truly reach. A deep blue eternity." Loc 2920

"My last thought as everything faded was that rain on the water looked like stars. It was the infinity and wonder of space. Except the surface was kind of blue from the sky and the ray of sun that broke through the clouds." Loc3627

I became completely obsessed  with Outlander, the books and the TV show. After watching the first two episodes of the TV series on Starz I had to have the books. I was shocked at how long each book in the series was but I couldn't put them down. I was also shocked that the first book in the series is 20 years old. The lead characters Jamie and Claire are by far my favorite couple.

Best Moments of 2014

Top spot goes to finally meeting photographer Scott Hoover. I've been a huge fan of his work for a few years and was thrilled when he decided to join the romance novel world. His photos of male models have been the perfect visual representations of all my book boyfriends. As his biggest fan and (self proclaimed) favorite fool I was out-of-my-mind excited to meet him at the Love N Vegas book event.

Another huge moment for me was getting to finally meet author Natasha Boyd at Book Bash in Orlando. Her book Eversea is on my list of most favorite books ever.

I made my first trip to Nashville TN last January for a book event with authors Elizabeth Lee and Caisey Quinn. I'm so down for doing that again.

Book Bash was also my first and hopefully not last time seeing Griffin Peterson perform. His music added so much magic to Maybe Someday. Griffin and his band gave a crazy good performance and were so kind meeting all of his fans.

Of course I have to mention meeting some of the sexiest male cover models. Thanks to Love N Books who brought all these insanely gorgeous men to a book event. These models were incredibly edible, I mean sweet. You can imagine how insane the ladies can be at a Romance novel book signing. I was so impressed with how patient and generous these guys were. They put up with a lot from just me so I can imagine they were overwhelmed. Thanks for all the hugs and laughs: Jase Dean, Stuart Reardon, Drew Leighty, Aaron McGuire, Mike Gleason, Brandyn Farrell, Pepe Toth, Zeb Ringle, and Darrell Thomas. Please cum again ;)

It has been an amazing year. I truly have the best friends. And to think I found them all on twitter because of books. I would be lost without my best friend and blog partner Amanda HOOTIE Clark. Thanks to Nicole Martin, Katie Miller Pruitt and Autumn Hull. I couldn't ask for better friends. Loves you motherfuckers!

Thanks to all the authors who have been so generous and trusting. I always feel honored when you share your stories with me. They are my treasures.

Wishing you all the best and most blessed new year!!!

My Star, My Love
By Natasha Boyd
Blurb

Movie star, Jack Eversea, has decided to brave his history with England and take the love of his life, Keri Ann Butler, home to meet his mother for Christmas.  He’s been back in California and Keri Ann’s been busy with art school, and they are desperate to spend three weeks together over the Holidays.
But Jolly Old England does weird things to Jack. And despite his super sweet “twelve days of Christmas” gift giving, Keri Ann can’t quite work out if he’s about to propose or regrets bringing her home.  Is he still questioning whether she can handle a few paparazzi, or is he doubting Keri Ann’s commitment to their future?
The magnetic couple is back in a fun, sometimes poignant, but super sexy story about acceptance, building a future, and how to make love quietly in a creaky old house with one’s mother down the hall.

Globug's Take

I was thrilled when Natasha Boyd invited me to read an ARC of Forever, Jack. I loved the first book in the series titled Eversea. It's one of my top 10 of the year. My heart was not happy at the the end of Eversea but was hopeful for the future of Jack and Keri Ann.

The story jumps right in where the first book ended. Jack is in the middle of discovering he has been deceived by Audrey and his agent Andy. And though Audrey had briefly been pregnant, she lost it before trying to use pregnancy as a reason for Jack to leave Keri Ann. I couldn't feel any sympathy at all for Audrey's loss as she proves to be an enormous lying manipulating b!tch. Now with very little hope of being able to fix things with Keri Ann, Jack is willing to risk it all to try.

Keri Ann has spent the last 7 months trying to move on from having her heart ripped out. She's going through the motions of dating and working and finally starting on her college/career path but she's not prepared when Jack shows up back in her town. He's ready to fight for her but Keri Ann won't give him the chance to tell her the whole story of what's happend since he left. She can't deny her heart still loves him but she's scared of more than just getting hurt again. She finally has a future planned with school and her art. How can she still do those things if she takes Jack back.

We get the details of Audrey's schemes as Jack explains his behavior and the choices his made over the last 5 months to one of only real friends Devon. Audrey is like a female satan. He feels like he was doing what he had to to protect Keri Ann but he just can't get her to listen or understand his choices. Thanks heavens for Mrs. Weaton, Keri Ann's meddling little old lady neighbor. She gives Keri just the push she needs to give Jack a chance.

One of my favorite parts of the book is the excerpt of Jack's journal. His mother is the sweetest. My emotions had my hiding from family as I read. Keri Ann finally gets to see the real Jack, all of his feelings and insecurities.  The pages give her his truth and his heart and the understanding that he was hurting just as much as she was while they were apart.

The author really brings the sweet heat to the story as Jack and Keri Ann reconcile. But of course we've only made it have way through the story and there have to be complications. I was pretty disappointed that her brother wasn't more supportive of their relationship. But he has good reasons for his his worry. I really hope Joey's story will be written. The sleeze of hollywood try to ruin the romance as well.

My heart breaks every time Jack has to beg and convince Keri Ann to not throw away their relationship. I understand she's scared but seriously, I was getting really pissed off with her indecision. I love Jack Eversea! When a girl tells a guy "if you really love me you'll leave" I want to just strangle someone. Thank God the author wrote Jack as a guy who doesn't listen but loves the girl enough to fight to stay. And thank you Natasha Boyd for that limo ride (pun intended). The epilogue  takes us four years into Jack and Keri Ann's future and it's perfect. I absolutely got the happy ending I was hoping for and then some.

COVER REVEAL!!! Forever Jack by Natasha Boyd

I'm so excited to share this cover with you!! The first book in the series titled EVERSEA was one of my most favorites this year. I'm so ready for book two FOREVER JACK!

Here is the blurb:

Hollywood superstar, Jack Eversea, blew a hole straight through Keri Ann Butler’s innocent heart when he breezed into her tiny coastal Carolina town, and left a gaping hole out the other side when he left.

Jack has been threatened, manipulated and betrayed by the people he trusted the most, and almost lost his career. He knows he may have also let the only 'real' thing that ever happened to him slip through his fingers.

And his hands have been tied to try and stop it. Until Now.

Keri Ann Butler's life changed the night she met movie star, Jack Eversea. She thought she knew a Jack that was very different to the man adored by fans the world over. In the wake of his betrayal and abandonment, Keri Ann has had to pick up and move forward with the life she was supposed to live, and has put off far too long.

Suddenly, Jack is back, and his explanations for why he left seem more and more plausible, and his declarations more seductive. But being Jack's latest tabloid arm candy isn't on Keri Ann's career agenda, no matter how much she is attracted to him. And she's not even sure her feelings were anything more than physical, or that she can ever trust him again.

Jack is now fighting to save his relationship with Keri Ann, even as his life threatens to tear apart everything she has worked so hard for. And tear them apart, again. The question is, can he convince her she can have it all no matter what lies the world believes? And choose him? Forever?
