by Katy Regnery
Date of Publication: August 5, 2016
Blurb
Did you fall in love with The English Brothers? Were you hot for the Winslows? Katy Regnery's New York Times bestselling Blueberry Lane series continues with The Rousseau siblings in Summer 2016!
Jacqueline "Jax" Rousseau is vivacious, rich, smart and beautiful…but that doesn't mean she's lucky in love: she's dated doctors, lawyers, actors and politicians who've all managed to end up disappointing her. In fact, she's on a self-imposed hiatus from love when she has an unpleasant run-in with her neighbor's gorgeous new landscaper, Gardener Lenox. Jax is not accustomed to gruff, ill-mannered men that can't be charmed, but when he saves her skin, she realizes that something about Gard intrigues her...and if she can find her way through the armor that surrounds his heart, she might finally find a love that won't let her down.

Globug's Review
J'adore Katy Regnery!! After finishing Jonquils for Jax I was ready to listen to it on audible. Of course it's not available yet on audio but just the thought of getting to hear Gardner narrate with his Cajun french accent had me begging the author to offer this book in audio.
From the outside looking in at Gard and Jax you would think they are from two very different worlds. After all he is just the hired help. But they have more in common than Jax realizes. The great thing about Jax is that she couldn't care less how different she thinks their bank accounts are. Even their french accents are different, hers being the pristine Parisian French and his the dirty rough sound of French Cajun. Regnery has an amazing way of writing these super rich characters that are so down to earth and humble.
My favorite parts of the story were the sweet moments they shared speaking in french. I totally swooned every time Gardner dropped a sweet line like "Your eyes. Tes yeux, j'en reve jour et nuit." The author includes most of the translations right after so you don't miss anything. I also loved that anytime Gardner needed to exclaim something he would start with "Glory Lord!". It was so unique to him. I could go on all day about the things I loved about Gard.
Both characters are insecure with their current career choices and are struggling with the directions they want their lives to go. They slowly realize that if they take the path together they can find their way to a happily ever-after. It's a sweet and sexy ride with just the right amount of angst. Another spectacular book in Regnery's Blueberry Lane series.
